Cayenne auto start/stop memory module
To be clear, I'm not opposed to this module and have installed it in two Audis myself. However, we must be aware that this can be risky in cars under warranty. If we assume that the diagnostic software doesn't detect it, even moderately intelligent technician can realize there's something wrong with the start/stop system during a test drive.

To be fair it's possible that button-memory modules have to do fancier stuff these days, compared to the ones I've worked on. If all they do is sit on a LIN bus segment and inject packets corresponding to button presses, then no, they would not be detectable as separate devices. But now that the "buttons" are on touchscreens, things might be different.
Module arrived today. The module is metal and labelled correctly for my model. Looks good. I have a Dealer visit in 1 -week. So this will wait till that is completed.
Too add, I disassembled the metal module, to check the board, components, solder points. It’s a very clean layout , If this works, it’s the best $50.00 mod so far !!
