Yes it is scarce, not available in Canada. I am fortunate that I only live 45 min away from Niagara Falls so I just ran over to Autozone and picked up 10 quarts with the Autozone special and got 2 free oil filters for another car. You can use Liqui-Moly Toptech 4110 it is C40 approved and available in Canada. If you can find Mobil 1 0w-40 ESP X3 that will work as well. Other than that, Porsche dealer is charging $22.00 litre. You could also check with Audi to see what they have for RSQ8 since it is the same engine. Audi should be VW 411.00 approved but may not say C40 you'll have to ask. What does the sticker on your engine say? I thought 2022 Cayenne Turbo was Porsche A40 approval oil? That is easier to find in Canada.

The document is updated as of June 2025. They didn't make ESP X4 back in 2020. However, I think you are correct as to C40 spec. for your vehicle.

If you have the VIN# and the Porsche App you could set up your account and download the owners manual. Someone will probably chime in here with the correct info.

@Visceral , the ky ou very much for the write up. I followed it and all went well. Did not need a lift or ramps, Terrain mode has lots of space. This 4.0 has 40,000km on it, so has had several dealer oil changes. It had some busted clips ( white ones) will source those,……….but I bet they beak again. The green ones were all good.

i m going to extract after 1000KM , and do filter in 5K.

So I got ancy....and really wanted to know I had clean oil, have trust issues. I performed the extraction method yesterday, 8L came out, and I left the oil filter in ( less than 200km on it ) I put excatly 8L back in, level good !!!!
This was fairly easy, having done the major Drop cover, drain from bottom and change oil filter routine 1 week ago.
One thing I thought of.........

"IF" the Dip stick tube could be extended up (sealed of course) to the cross bar area this would eliminate a LOT of covers removal on V8, and make suction removal a cinch !!!!!!. How could that be done ? Anyone know of a potential way to do this ? I did put a Zip lock ring on the Dipstcik Cap for an easy "tug" off next time

Not sure if there is a flare at the end of the dipstick tube so that may be problematic. You could find an appropriate sized tube such as heat resistant rubber/silicone heater hose or hydraulic hose and use a tube clamp to secure to dipstick tube. However, you still need to remove the engine cover to access and change the oil filter so it's kinda pointless. I can understand using a fluid extractor to remove the oil. It's simple and no need to raise vehicle and no need to remove undercarriage covers, but you still need to change the filter. Did you happen to measure the volume of oil that was removed when you bottom drained and how much oil did you put back in on the change a week ago? Why would the oil be dirty and need another change from a week of driving (200kms)?

For sure Filter needs chaged as well....but if this was accessible, you could do interim dump and fill....for $120.00 !!! Last week on pan dump was almost 9L drained. so 1 more than extraction.
This car is new to ne.....so I wanted to get a good exchange on the Motul that was used by a dealer here. I did not see a flare on the dipstick tube....hmmmmm .......

I get what you are saying. Personally, if I am going to spend $120 on new oil, I'll spend the extra $20 on a new oil filter and 20 minutes removing the cross brace and engine filter for a topside change just to ensure everything is done completely and correctly. Another 30 min for bottom drain and $15 on new drain plug and washer . But that's just me. Just inspecting the oil filter on oil change can tell you a lot about what it's catching or not. Are you using Motul Toptec 4110 5W-40? Where in Canada are you located?

What I find informative is the topside extraction left 1 litre of oil in the pan.

Hey @denaliman I am loading Liquimoly 4110, C40. I am in the G.T.A. You close by?
On a side note……I am not paying $8.00 per clip for these anymore, lol. My green clips were fine……….but the white ones get baked from engine heat and fracture. New ones flex……for some time. Anyone found a substitute ? Amazon ? Lol

anything special about those clips? They look like Christmas tree clips like GM door panel clips.
