You can do that finagling, but I prefer just to pull the panel off and think that's the better (and easier) process to explain.
In other words the oil change can be done without removing the panel underneath the lever.

Your choice is to remove the panel under the lever so that you can assure yourself the two rubber inlet ducts are properly installed. Correct?

Since I did this in the new MY2024 with V8, I will share a few comments because it looks a bit different than in the pre-facelift models.

1/ New V8s (at least hybrids) no longer have a sealed oil dipstick tube, so using an extractor is not possible.

2/ You do not have to remove the side headlight covers. However, you do have to remove the front cover with the hood opening lever.

3/ This cover uses different clips than those in previous models (green). They can only be purchased as a complete repair kit.

4/ Assuming that all the oil is drained to a full fill to a maximum level of 100%, 9.5 liters of oil are needed.

Do you happen to have the part number for the repair kit?

Also, I believe it’s smart to have 10 quarts (9.42 liters) on hand for both 9YA and 9YB. Knowing these engines, what you don’t use will be asked for in 2000 miles.

Here is the repair kit. However the "repair kit" name is exaggerated. It is the set of only 3 clips but in Porsche price. Around $10 per small, one piece, plastic clip, $30 for the entire "kit" . Such a things possible only in Porsche.

The only reason I opted for a V6 on my 2025 instead of the V8 was the painful oil change on the latter, which I did 3x myself on my 2021 GTS. That, plus reading what you have to do on that engine to change the water pump (prone to failure). The V8 is lovely to listen to, however.

In MY2024+, this can only be done using PIWIS 4 and an online connection to the Porsche server. I'm afraid you'll have to have this done at a dealership.

Liqui-Moly top tech 4110 is C40 approved albeit 5w-40 . I don’t think it would make much difference.

my understanding, this should be fine it is the specification that is important. if you car has the C40 sticker under the hood you are good. i would not put in oil that isn’t C40, regardless of weight. motor oil geek on youtube explains this. the spec is what matters.

I am using MOLYGEN (Green) 5W40 which is an A40 rating in my 2016 Macan Turbo. Love this stuff....very quiet engine.
Can i use this is a 2020 CCT ? Toronto, Ontario, Canada is the weather profile. Is the CCT a C40 rating only ?
thanks

Liquimoly 5-40 Molygen is A40 compliant for the older cars. It is not C40 Compliant as required in some of the newer engines.

the key thing is the spec, the brand just doesn’t really matter at all. if you have a new car that says C40 on the sticker under the hood, get the C40 oil. i just bought 30 quarts of C20 spec mobile 1 from walmart and it was only about 5$ a quart. which is why i loaded up.

ahahhhah, NO! no oil additives. watch the motor oil geek on youtube. all you need to do is use the proper filter and proper spec oil. brand of oil matters not, just the spec. additives can monkey w ingredients in the oil. the spec of the oil typically means there is something already in the oil. so when you add something else, it can mess w the chemistry of the oil. don’t do it.

Here is an 1-hour long presentation from Porsche Club of America. They seem to promote Driven Racing's DI40 for modern direct injection Porsche Engines.
