low on road camaraderie

I have given up on the double flash of brights and wave to other Porsche drivers when in my Cayenne. I would get maybe 5% acknowledgement back. When in my Taycan it is closer to 50/50, so I still flash and wave.

my girlfriend has noticed there’s virtually no reciprocity between porsche drivers on the road. never a look, or wave, or extending the courtesy of letting you merge in.
other cars brands i have had, you will see brand friendly behavior…audi. bmw. vw. but apparently not w porsche.
has anyone else noticed this? i think it is sad.

I know people in all those categories.. It's just a personality/character/personal thing and sometimes an age/bling/personal-expectation thing..
You will only get feedback from those people that have expectations similar to yours.. For others, you are just another driver..

Multiple 911 and Cayenne owner here, Chicago area. No waves, ever. Period. In fact when I try I get strange looks even from other 911 drivers. In my Jeep Wrangler, my DD, I get waves from other Wrangler drivers at least once daily Maybe 75% of Wranglers reciprocate. Its a Jeep thing.
Back in the day, 1970's and 80s British car drivers always flashed our headlights at each other. I know when I drove my E Type that every MG, Jaguar, Triumph and Lotus driver would reciproicate. We always stopped when (inevitably) one of us was parked on the side of the road needing assistance. We were a (mostly) brotherhood of concurrent pain and pleasure.
