Default HOW TO INCREASE TURBO SOUND ON 2019 TURBO

"Let me start by saying that I LOVE my luxury sport SUV and do not want to take the LUXURY out of it. As for the sports aspect, how can I increase the turbo sound and still keep it classy? I'm a 55-year-old man who still loves performance and appreciates the brand's subtleness—just looking for a bit of turbo spool sound.

Sounds like a blow-off valve also. Is that included in the intake?

Put your engine cover on backwards (it’ll block the heat from the engine but you’ll hear the turbos and intake much better), that’s what I do on my TGT lol

Or get a $1300 APR thin engine cover

Start with the air filter. Buy a BMC or Sprintfilter. The noise of the turbochargers sucking air will be more audible.

No BOV, I believe the new engine cover is not insulated so you will hear more air -- especially with the dual cone filter vs factory filter.

LOL, had no idea that was a thing.

This is a much cheaper option, APR also makes a filter for about $200 also.

It does have PSE, and I think the exhaust note is good. I'm contemplating Catless downpipes (no smog necessary) for performance, but I haven't heard a car with them to see if Its too loud.

Here’s a video from Fabspeed demonstrating a GTS (essentially same engine) with center mounted sport exhaust before and after fitted with catted downpipes. Note the GTS center mounted sport exhaust will always sound better than the Turbo’s sport exhaust.

I would expect downpipes with no cats to be louder but you’ll probably throw a CEL with catless pipes. And the exhaust will stink, too!
