Default Financing for our new porsches

Hi guys,

I’ve been poking around the forum but haven’t seen finance rates for this month.

for those in the US who plan to finance, what kind of rates do you expect? Are you going through porsche or another bank / credit union. Anything different that needs to be done since msrp is close to 150?

appreciate your help. If there is already a thread on this, please redirect me.

thanks!

Mine has been done with production since 9/26 and waiting to leave the factory for the port since. I’m on my third delay. 9/28-9/30, 10/4-10/6, 10/8-10/10. So I’m gonna guess it will be delayed again seeing how it’s 10/9 and no movement.

Mine was also delay during production as well originally supposed to be done with production 9/4. So I’m gonna guess yours will be further delayed.

Will depend on your CR but my credit union is around 6.75% on a new car. I expect Porsche will be higher, maybe upper 8%'s. I don't know on the limits but I do think many banks have some sort of cap in general although if you go through the dealer I wouldn't expect it to be an issue as they constantly sell cars in that range. Not sure we will see another rate cut by the fed so rates will likely be the same in Nov too.

I reached out to BOA last week and was told their rate is around 5.59% for 60 months, with an additional 0.25% to 0.5% discount if you are their preferred member. 8% seems too high. Was 8% the lowest you've found so far?

No, I haven't inquired, just figured it would be in that range at the dealership, existing banks and CU's will always be a bit cheaper direct as they have to cut a fee back to the dealership. So if you bank somewhere and can get around 6% then expect the dealers to be closer to 8% is what I've found in the past. Who knows, I'm sure if your 30 days out you could ask the dealership what they are seeing but will likely get an 'it depends' answer, although I think Porsche publish their rates (at least internally) assuming excellent credit so you could ask for those rates.

Oh sorry I didn’t realize you were referring to the rates we get from the Porsche dealer.

BofA lists their rates on their Website. Don’t even need to call them….

Maybe because this would be my first time getting an auto loan so I just wanted to call them to make sure I understand the whole process. I’m sure that's not too hard to get right?

You're taking this way too personally for some odd reason. My comment was directed at anyone else rate shopping. Not you.

You were the one who started to judge others shouldn’t make phone calls by “don’t even need to call…”
Let’s just drop this boring topic.
