The info is widely available in the reviews and in the Porsche press releases.

If you are worried that a new model will come out in 2 years and you might want that more (and you don’t want to take an early hit to trade) then you have no choice but to wait and see what Cayenne products launch over the next few years.

No one posting here knows when a new generation Cayenne will launch and what the variants will be. Some people think a GTS variant won’t be available after 2023. Who really knows? And if we don’t know that, what can we know about a next gen?

As to $20 - $30,000 loss on a trade if you buy now and decide you want a new model, it could cost much more than that. In 2021 a GTS (Canada) had a SRP of $140,000 and a lease residual of $75,000 after 3 years. That tells you what Porsche thought the depreciation would be on a 3 year old Cayenne, so you are right to be concerned about making the right choice for you.

Good luck.

I think 2026 is too optimistic. I think 2028 is the new 2026 in porsche land.

I am sorry to disappoint you but unfortunately it is highly unlikely that you can get a 992.2 in 6 months. Configurator launch as of now is february 2025 so the first cars might get delivered in may 2025.

I really hope I am wrong on this but what I am posting is actually from a reliable source, and based on the experience of this year's delay of the cayenne - not the stop sale only but also the configurator which was supposed to go up in february and finally went up on april and then the failed decision and attempt to deliver all cars in late July - and additionally that they are doing a huge launch of the electric Macan in december, I think the spring 2025 estimation for the 992.2 is accurate and maybe even optimistic.

The actual variant will stay until around 2030, as per Porsche detailed.
Would you mind sharing any info you have on this ? I’m considering purchasing a 24 Cayenne for my wife and any information relating to this would really help me out.

Porsche announced this at the time of the presentation of the Cayenne 2024. They announced that this new generation of Cayenne will be the last with ICE and is to be produced until 2030. That is why, as they informed, the changes in MY2024 are so big, especially in the interior, to maintain the car modernity until 2030
In 2025, the E-Cayenne is to be presented as MY2026 and will be produced in parallel with the ICE version.
If you search the Internet, you will certainly find this information.

I would book the 2024 now. It is unlikely to see another FL in 2 years. I also think ICE version will be around for longer than 2030.

I am very curious to see how Macan EV pans out in the near future.

Tomorrow is not promised, Live for today not the future. But the New Cayenne is along way away from 2 years...

I also do not see a new Cayenne model before late 26 and deliveries in 27 and this is highly optimistic. This is 2.5-3 years from now the earliest.

Porsche has to see how the Macan EV will sell and it seems for now the Cayenne 9Y0.2 is selling like hot cakes. There is a high chance that 2024 would be the first year the cayenne passes the 100k production cars but we will see.
