I am not sure the front leather seat interior changes are cost cutting exercises since it does not apply to all colours. I think it is mostly bad design decisions in some colours. It seems they got it right with mojave and bramble and barrique red but they messed up bordeaux red, night green and chalc. Please note these are 14 way seats.
So these 3 colours look bad:
These 3 colours are fine though. Please note barrique red is aa club option though.

The same colour mess is present with 18 way seats:
Bordeaux red, night green and crayon are bad:

And from another angle. Exactly the same is happening with the armrest and the grap handles in these colours. Again Bordeaux red, night green and crayon include more black. Mojave, bramble, barrique red include more of "their colour"

Looking more into this. It seems that in my current E3.1 in bordeaux red, the armrest and grap handles are black so nothing changed here. The only 2 changes seem to be the side of the seat and the center backseat which look really bad.

By the way night green and bramble look incredible cool to me but I might not be so bold to spec them
I really wish they add an option to avoid the sides of the seats in black with bordeaux red/night green and an option for the rear center seat.
Little details and nit picking in my opinion in a great overall upgrade.

For those complaining
How many brands will offer these customisations and these colours for a relatively small amount? I am sure many will find these colours and customisations ugly but the point is that you have to spend $$$ in rolls, bentley and ferrari to get this and I am not even sure if it is possible with any $$$ in mercedes, audi and bmw to get this. Just have a look at the photos below, and try appreciate the customisation and the availability of these options even if you do not like the final result - and please ignore the black back seat in the rear
Just playing devil's advocate here and yes porsche charges a lot for extras but sometimes also offers much more as standard or "relatively cheap". Of course it goes exactly the opposite for many other essential options and I do not like it but overall i can say you get a substantial value for your money - if you include the comparatively small depreciation
On a serious note. Kudos to porsche for offering these colours and accents as standard options.

There is some obvious cost cutting from Porsche on the 9Y0.2. Leather photos from above, 2 chamber air suspension, non-bright seat adjustment buttons, cheapened SportChrono dial and the Bic shaver shift lever.
Porsche made a mistake with the black center rear seat with colored leather.
Barrique interior looks great.

If they really wanted to cut costs why are they offering so many options?
Regarding the 2 chamber air suspension it has also been addressed below. It is much more advanced so you have to account all specifications and know the exact costs to come to a conclusion. Saying that it is 2 instead of 3 - hence it is cost cutting - it is a very easy simplification of a very complex subject.
I do not mind calling out a cost cutting if I am 100% sure about it. BUT this is such a complicated subject that we really have to study all parameters and facts in order to come to a conclusion and I think many forum posts are just over reactions instead of study truly the engineering and trying to deduct if it a real cost deduction. Further more: it is simply not easy to deduce some facts from photos. We really have to see the finished product and even compared it to the old one in order to come to a reasonable conlusion.

This will be my first Porsche. My last car was a special order F80 M3 BMW. I got ~10% off that car. No trade, no BMW financing, no other outside variables to affect the pricing/negotiations.

yea Porsche will never do 10% off. Maybe 10% off 2023s. But never ordered vehicles. Usually will see couple thousand off here and there with some reduction on lease rates

In the past I bought from the lot, 7% off. The 992 I got the week it came out, 5% off.
Ordering now I'm not sure there would be discounts for new clients, maybe in the areas that there's actual competition. even then it's difficult with a "refreshed" car. If no tax break on trade in is needed, I would start calling and buy over the phone. It's a new car, what's the difference. I won't be doing that as above and I want to try this new suspension first and compare to the X5 M60 (lump of coal last I tried).
Once the cars arrive and sit on the lot for a month, that's when I'll go shopping or even later as they gather a nice winter day with 3 years of ADM. I don't buy this "all the production is sold" that dealers say. The normal pre COVID numbers just don't sustain that. Local dealer tucks cars away from the store, giving the impression of mild scarcity.
