Do you have a link? I have asked for the instructions.

Thanks

Ordered them last week. Wish I had thought of this ahead of time, I could have had it done at the same time as the ppf.

Tentatively scheduled to FINALLY pick this up on Friday! WOOT!

I ordered bumper plugs as well, waiting for it. Hopefully we can DIY together. My sport pedal is still crooked but I got my silicon today to help it slide on!

I have hope through the other threads that it can be done by accessing through the wheel well. I am really hoping this is the case.

I will be anxiously awaiting a report on the degree of difficulty. And looking forward to photos of the new eHybrid after you get it on Friday. It's been a long journey for you.

Thanks to @Messier who has convinced me it should be pretty doable. I'll do a full writeup when I get them.

And, if you are old enough to remember this ad, you'll know the slogan and why I'm sharing it...

Bunch of thoughts from this road trip.

Braking to a stop. Low speed powertrain modulation is hard. Also, brakes creak / groan at very end. Do I need to bed?

Also, during low speed manouvering, the car sometimes surges.

Playing with E Power vs Hybrid is awesome. It's unbelievable how the engine just stops and starts. It's completely imperceptible. I'm in Austin and there are some pretty serious hills. This thing has chugged up them on electric only at pretty good speeds! I'm impressed.

Still playing with all of the infotainment layouts. Wish apple car play displayed better info when in the "tri-split" screen.

The Google maps display is great. Not as big, but better than in my Tesla.

Steering feels soooo light at parking lots but really weights up at speed

More soon...

So I spoke to my service advisor this morning (dropped off the old Cayenne) and he indicated I should definitely try bedding in the brakes to get rid of the squeak and low speed grabbiness. The squeak isn't so much of a squeak as a goose-like "honk"; it's prominent enough that you can feel it through the car. Rather annoying and unbecoming of the car.

I think I have the PCM dialed in to my liking. I wasn't able to get the confirmation email for a second user to work on my phone, but it does work on my computer; will need to do that with my wife when she is around.

Hybrid wise, this powertrain is unbelievably impressive how the ICE just cuts in and out. Sometimes multiple times in a minute depending on what you're doing driving. The one thing I found was that when in full e-mode, I find that I can feel the "virtual kick-down switch" a lot more prominently than when in hybrid mode. And that in hybrid mode, the car seems like it switches the engine on in situations where in E-power mode, I wasn't using full e-power. Which is interesting. Still trying to figure it out.

Overall, the car is much, much quieter than our 958 (which is a diesel, riding on steel springs with no PASM). I find the 9Y0 to be squishier, but still quite competent. The tradeoff for this is way more refinement. It's just SOOO quiet. The suspension softness that plagued the base Cayenne loaner I had a number of years ago is gone, and of course the rough downshifts aren't there because on the hybrid, when i'm slowing to a stop, the engine has long since turned off and I am regenerating through the "braking".

The backup camera is the best of the PCM 5 or later cars I have driven (which is a bunch). The software in PCM 6 must be better, especially when paired with the surround view. Which is also quite useful.

I never liked the center console layout and still don't. The PCM scroll wheel is DUMB. It looks like a volume **** and adds virtually no functionality. Should have made that the volume **** and eliminated the roller. Likewise, the hot keys at the base of the climate vents were much more useful during early versions of PCM 5.X. Now that we're into 6.X, they are largely useless, except for things like climate which you wouldn't want to waste a "left side hot button" on in your PCM layout.

I was thinking I was going to want to use apple car play and Waze for nav, but the Google maps internal nav is great, in that the graphics from their satelite images are super useful, it scrolls beautifully, and you get the pop-ups on the dash when needed. Plus, if you have Waze open and running, you still get the alerts for traffic, hazards, cops, etc. I used the internal nav the whole weekend and was very happy, especially when sending a destination to the car through the app worked. Which it did about 50% of the time. Also, it may be familiarity or better steering wheel settings, but I definitely can view the far right portion of the screen better.

All in all, this is a fantastic vehicle. Dropping it off for ceramic coating tomorrow, looking forward to really seeing it pop!
