2019 PSCB Break squeal at low speed without breaks applied
I just finished reading the Porsche technical bulletin on the break issue. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...09901-0001.pdf (thanks for sharing @Schnave )
What's interesting about this is that they mention light pedal application and a squeal as being normal on glazed pads. Ok fine.
However my situation is let's say I pull up to a red light and stop (no squealing occurs). But when I slowly accelerate after the light turns green, the breaks start squealing softly, even though I'm nowhere near the break pedal.
Does anyone else have this specific issue? It's almost like the break is still lightly engaged.

These two threads both mention a caliper spring causing the problem when the brakes were not applied. Once the spring was lubricated or replaced, the squeaking stopped. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress!

I have been complaining about my PSCB squealing brakes in traffic , or casual stops for 9+ months. They drive me insane! 1 master tech told me " drive it like you stole it , then they won't squeal" ....

Haha, I thought I rode it pretty hard on occasion but might need to be a little more adventurous 😆

Had this exact issue on my 2021 Turbo Coupe. Drove me SO crazy, that after 6 dealer trips I traded the car. Good luck with finding a permanent fix.

FREE PSCB BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS!
All you have to do is complain and the dealer will install new rotors and pads that have “Improved acoustic properties”.
Porsche published a new TSB, dated September 9, 2022, addressing the low speed PSCB squeaks:
https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...22394-0001.pdf
Here’s the highlights:
Symptom:
Squeaking noises can be heard from the front axle area at low speed or slight brake actuation or shortly before the vehicle comes to a standstill.
Action Required:
In the event of a complaint, replace the PSCB brake discs and brake pads.
Information:
A new component status with improved acoustic properties is available for the PSCB brake discs.
Vehicles produced on or after May 3, 2022 have the new brakes installed at the factory.

Thanks @Schnave . I booked it in for next Tuesday. I tried to request the dealer order parts first, though I guess they won't do that without the vehicle first going in to be diagnosed. I will mention the TSB when I drop it off.
Can't wait to get rid of this squeal as it really bugs me and instead of feeling good about driving around down it just feels embarrassing 😂. Like some jalopy creaking it's way into the grocery parking lot.

I'm sooo happy!! 🤩
Although PCNA took a long time to acknowledge, glad they took this seriously, cos it was really a bummer and honestly unacceptable for a luxury brand. Now my car is just a simply a joy to drive!

So just got back from doing errands around town and had a chance drive and listen in an urban setting. (so no high speed / highway) ... And it's ABSOLUTELY beautifully silent. Seriously not a squeak or squawk anywhere to be heard. Not from the breaks and more importantly no weird noises at low speed either.
I'm sooo happy!! 🤩

I have been complaining about my PSCB squealing for over a year, opened a ticket with Porsche USA. Now I see this and the dealer nor Porsche have contacted me about this bulletin ... grrrrrrr. I'm firing off e-mails with that bulletin in it right now!
