Default Looking for GTS or Turbo (V8) Oil Change Procedure

I have seen the Cayenne S 2.9 liter oil change video but havent been able to find the 4.0 liter V8 procedure. Panamera Turbo has one but I think the engine bay layout of that car is different than Cayenne’s (no airbox removal needed). Anyone know where I can find it?

Rennlister celiawessen posted an excellent, detailed 2019 Turbo oil change tutorial with pictures here:

Looks like the site is down, though. How about it @celiawessen? Is your site down?

The tutorial uses the drain plug. You may not be able to use an extractor on the Turbo, according to this post from philg3:

A few more points that I discussed with the SM at pickup:
  1. An oil extractor cannot be used on the Turbo, as an extractor tube cannot be lowered to the sump bottom, due to other stuff in the way -- believe he said some Turbo stuff.
  2. Next annual service is $1,200 and includes oil / filter change, brake flush, air filter for cabin and cleaning the path to the filter.
I've serviced all my vehicles over the past many years (many Porsches), but this one looks difficult -- particularly getting to the oil filter: I'm taking it to the dealer for service. At least I'll get a "Free" Car Wash.

Thanks Ron but thats the 3.0 liter V6. I think the V8s have some differences. I havent seen a single V8 video/picture guide yet.

Sorry, I copied the wrong link but the other one was for a prior Gen anyway. I can’t believe there isn’t something for the new Gen GTS or Turbo but nothing shows up and you have to watch most of them to find out the model info. Is the main difference a brace that has to be removed? Next morning I can’t sleep in I’ll watch a few more videos.

Yes, my site was down for a few days. It’s back up now. :-)

Thank you so much for this. I want to confirm the torque spec for drain plug is 37 ft lbs? Thats very high. The oil pan looks almost identical to my 2.9 liter 2022 Macan and the torque spec for that was 22 ft lbs.

What takes 8 hours in the Turbo oil change procedure? Nothing is difficult, everything listed is standard for a German SUV.

Post-Pandemic cars may be spec’ed differently. If in doubt, go with the lower torque. I will add that caveat to my tutorial.

Thank you. Do you know the torque spec for the torsion bar?

I’ve listed 3 skill levels kind of as a gauge for beginners. Beginners tend to not have all their parts and tools together so they end up going up and down and up and down from under the car. They take breaks to re-read the tutorial. They have to order another item from Amazon. They can’t figure out if a bolt is T-20 or T-25 on the first try, so they have to get up, change the bits, and get back under the car. They can’t get the car up in the air fast enough safely. It’s a whole day ordeal. But if you are a pro, with all the tools ready and have a lift, you can Jiffy-Lube it in the time it takes to drain the tank.

Unfortunately I do not. I drove the bolts back in with a powered screw driver (non-impact, slip clutch) so it was kind of automatic.

Okay thanks. And those two hoses by the filter canister can be moved outward/stretched? I am talking about the brown and black hoses.

Yes the two soft lines are just loose enough to be pulled to each side of the filter housing. If they are not, it means the vinyl has deteriorated and it’s time to change them too.

I see Pelican recommends Motul and Liqui Moly. Both seem to be C40.

Any thoughts on those?
