Default Specks on Windshield

I have a 2019 Porsche Cayenne, last month I got the car ceramic coated along with the windshield coated with Gtechniq G1, where the water supposed to just bead off. I noticed that the windshield keeps having these specs on it especially in direct sunlight. Maybe I just never noticed that my windshield had them before or something. Does anyone know if that is normal or is that due to the windshield having that applied to it or if it was applied incorrectly therefore some particles are trapped in it. I tried to wipe it off but it doesn't seem to come off. Any ideas or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Ceramic overspray, most likely. I think isopropyl alcohol may remove it, but I'm not an expert. I had my Cayenne ceramic treated and in a few areas, it dried before being wiped and left some residue. The detailer had to remove the ceramic from those spots with alcohol (If I remember correctly), and then re-apply the ceramic and wipe off before totally dry.

Those are most likely chips. As I wrote in a PPF/coating thread - glass takes the same beating paint does. Smaller chips are harder too see unless you do the flashlight/sunlight test. From experience I have had chips in windshield glass after a few hundred miles on brand new cars.
This is why I now utilize glass protection film when applying PPF to a new vehicle. Sure I could replace windshields every year but having OE glass and not having lots of comp claims with the insurance is piece of mind.

Hard to say. Looks like ceramic coat but certainly could be chips.

XLR- what kind of film do you recommend on windshield? Just replaced my front glass and prefer not to go thru that again.

you already answered in other thread. Thanks
