Cayenne Facelift 22/23

No facelift on 2023 GTS

I don’t have real insight to add, but I can add my data point. My commission for a turbo locks tomorrow, I think. It had been a few weeks further out, but got revised earlier twice. Not sure why. I went in yesterday to review my final tweaks. I asked about the rumored model changes, but either didn’t know or weren’t talking.
my expectation is that mine will be a 2022 with PCM 6, built in December, delivered in February.
is there anything to be read in the model number? It starts with 9YA. .

There will be no facelift yet, just the newest PCM with wireless Android support.

Unless you live in Germany, you don't need any more power. Trust me, I've wound my GTS out a few times on city highways (max 50 mp/h posted) and on the highway (70 mp/h posted). You get to triple digit speeds so quickly a 1/2 second that another 30 HP would add isn't really useful. But people buy Turbos so maybe I'm just out of it.

New exterior and interior changes seem on photo leaks not guaranteed for MY24 either, at this point. Enjoy the GTS when it comes!

Tbh, I'm not the biggest fan of the headlight and lower front fascia changes in the spy shots. I'm happy to get the current design. Boy oh boy are the days long counting down to delivery.

Porsche typically rolls out a new Model year in July. Considering that July 2022 has come and gone and Porsche is still making the 2023 model year without facelift, and is behind on those orders, there is zero chance that you'll see a facelift until the 2024 Model year, and you'll be lucky if production starts in July 2023.
I will say I do believe it is Porsche's plan to do the above. The presence of a "Platinum Edition" is one of Porsche's key signals that this generation is either about to get facelifted or coming to a close. But considering I had a commission number come up in June that was supposed to originally have been on a boat by now, and the latest update says that it might get build the end of January.....or may have finished this week, is a good sign that their production schedule is anything but normal now. So who knows how it will play out!

From the few spy photos I’ve seen……I too dislike the front fascia and I heard somewhere that the instrument panel would go all digital which I also dislike. Technology is inhibiting the driving experience. Yes, I’m soon turning 74 so what do I know about the likes and dislikes of the youngsters?

Porsche engineers have been spotted testing prototypes for an updated version of the Cayenne Coupe.
The Cayenne Coupe, as the name suggests, is a coupe-like version of the Cayenne designed to tackle high-end versions of the BMW X6 and Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe, as well as the likes of the Lamborghini Urus, Aston Martin DBX, and upcoming Ferrari Purosangue.
It first arrived on the market in 2019 as a 2020 model, and a range-topping Cayenne Turbo GT variant was just added to the lineup for 2022.
This updated Cayenne Coupe should arrive in late 2022 or early 2023, likely as a 2023 model. It will coincide with the arrival of an updated version of the regular Cayenne, prototypes for which are also out testing.
The Cayenne Coupe prototype shows the new face Porsche plans for the entire Cayenne range. The key change is a squarer design for the headlights. There's also a new front fascia with larger air intakes and pair of horizontal elements for the integrated daytime running lights.
The dash of the test vehicle was fully camouflaged, according to our photographer, which points to likely changes for the interior. It's possible a digital instrument cluster like the one in the Taycan electric sedan will be added.

It isn't clear what Porsche has planned for the powertrains. Typically, the automaker dials up the horsepower on most grades with its updates. The lineup currently starts with the base Cayenne Coupe powered by a 335-hp turbo V-6 and tops out with the Turbo S E-Hybrid, which pairs a twin-turbo V-8 with an electric motor for a combined 670 hp.
The hardcore Turbo GT variant packs a twin-turbo V-8 that delivers 631 hp on its own.
Stay tuned for updates as development continues.
