We are not planning on resuming production. We found out that people do not look for charging mounts anymore, as modern phones hold charge pretty well for 1 day. So we are offering non-charging mounts

Dang! I really need a charging mount as my phone battery gets fried quickly in the car - especially when using Waze. Plus I love the look of the Monaco mount. Can I convince you to produce (or even locate) one???? C'mon my man!!!!

It's not what I would call an elegant solution and it probably shouldn't be used on a leather dashboard top, but I'm using an iOttie wireless charging cradle mount attached to a single use removable 3M adhesive disc on my vinyl dashboard. I don't regard phone mounts that divert the driver's eyes far from the road as being safe. The mounting location of the t-design product is typical of how phone mounts were done before the days of smart phones that require interactions with their screens.

If I ever have to pop out the PCM screen for another reason, I'll see if there is an attachment point for a custom phone mount bracket that puts my phone in the same location as my current setup. That solution would be a similar iOttie charging cradle attached to a 17mm Pro.Fit "bravo ball" which would be attached to a fabricated/formed metal bracket that inserts into a seam between the PCM screen and the dashboard. I don't care enough to go to the trouble since my current solution is working well.

I ordered https://nine-volt.com/products/apple...42234581188777 for our MY20 Cayenne, it installed in 5 min and is glorious. I also ordered the 992 mount but haven't have a chance to install it yet. Obviously the placement behind the shift **** isn't in line-of-sight for monitoring the display, but wireless CarPlay solves that for most apps.
