2020 cayenne discount
#2
I am talking to dealers right now for a 2020 custom order Cayenne. I am getting 8%, 10%, 11% from 3 different dealers. However it really depends on where you are and my results can be totally irrelevant. Also I have not finalized the deal yet, and who knows what other tricks the dealers may have.

I just recently made a deposit with a dealer in which I thought was a fair deal. I was able to secure a 9% discount in the New Jersey area although I reside in New York. The general New York market for discounts is around 6-7%. PA offered close to 10%, but because of personal reasons, I decided to settle with the 9% discount that the New Jersey dealership was offering me.
All of these dealers that I encountered in each of these states offered me the same discount on a new 2020 build as well as 2020 Cayenne that are currently in production. Just be straight up with them but don't be disrespectful. It saves time for both sides.
Hope that helps.

I will DM you their information, but you don't have to mention my referral as I ultimately did not do business with them. I liked their aggressive discount on the cars which made me believe they really wanted the sales, but when it came to follow-up calls such as when they had to get their manager's approval, the PA dealers were slow to follow-up or didn't even follow-up at all. I had to call back to find out about the updates. Which made me to believe if I were to ever run into any problems with my new car, servicing would be a headache dealing with them. Especially since I live in New York and it becomes a 2-3 hour drive one way. 4-6 hour round trip.
Ultimately, I stuck with the New Jersey dealer because even though I dealt with a higher bs "documentation" fee that their state was able to charge. I liked the service I received from my NJ dealer. Easier to work with, closer in distance, and offered me a close enough discount compared to PA.
Good luck to my fellow future Cayenne owners.

You do realize that you dont have to go to the dealer you purchase from to do the annual service or any warranty claims. That would be ridiculous since I ordered my Turbo from a dealer 400 miles away! lol

If you end up going with another dealer, that's also fine. Hope my experience provided you some help. Usually people just list their discount percentage without any other detail, but to be honest it's all geographical and based on supply and demand.

Yes, I do understand that you do not have to always go back to the dealer in which you purchased the car from. However, I just prefer to build and maintain relationships when I can.

Left a deposit at dealership today. 11% off msrp. The discount is independent of trim level. I switched from base to a turbo build at last minute, and still got the same discount without any issue.
