Hybrids exist for the manufacturer not the consumer. They get their CAFE carbon credits and you get a more expensive, heavier, faster depreciating, more problematic car. Any savings in fuel is more than offset by a higher price tag and massive depreciation in the end. Its a win-lose proposition. Only possible benefit is in some states like CA you can drive in the HOV lane for 1 year. For that reason maybe but otherwise not interested.
