Glitches
#212
Do a search, as I recall Schnave has posted something previously. Might be two fingers tapping twice on the upper right corner to go into Tech mode menu!

Not sure if it will reboot while stuck on the Porsche logo splash screen but it’s worth a try. Here’s how to reboot from regular Home Screen:
Tap with two fingers as depicted and hold for 2-3 seconds. PCM will enter engineering mode with option to reset PCM.
From this thread: https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/th...boot-pcm.3021/
Video of the procedure here:
From page 26 of the Audi Self Study Guide (Attached). Same hardware as Audi’s MMI. Porsche calls it PCM 6.

Apparently there are vents or something along those lines with the headlights, if I left my 992 outside, in the morning I would have that on the headlights. At least this is what Porsche Service told me....

The heated steering OFF function continues to malfunction. Turning the car off and on again allows me to turn it off (which ??? Shouldn’t it have turned off when car was shut off?)

HUD memory FIXED!!!
It was interesting seeing some of the glitches reported in this thread. Originally I posted this as a question, but now I'm fairly certain it's a glitch - so it belongs here.
My HUD layout settings are constantly "forgotten". I wonder if any of the other "forgotten"features glitches were ever resolved? e.g. the one where the diamond button forgets it's setting. It seems like the same issue, but a different part of the PCM memory.

1. Reset entire PCM (what a f'n pain, may not have been necessary, but it happened, so it's here).
2. Re-setup everything, including HUD.
3. Created/setup driver profile
4. Stored seat memory
5. Edit driver profile, press "Replace vehicle settings" (this may have ultimately been what made the HUD settings finally stick).
Go to "Driver profile settings"
"Automatically save driver profiles" thing may have PCM bugs. Go to "Edit driver profile"
Press "Replace vehicle settings" and then press "Confirm"
Set everything to a door memory button.
