While driving normally the screen would suddenly switch to the the "SET" button menu, as if someone pressend the "SET" touch button on the center console, and all the other touch buttons in the center console down by the volume scroll become disabled and nothing happens if I click any, however the screen is functioning normally.
has any one else faced this? I had done a replacement of the center console about a year ago ( the recall due to the white hazing ), not sure if this is because of bad installation or not.
Install may be OK but glitchy console? I would follow-up with the installer from last year. Take some photos if you can. This gremlin will not go away...usually gets worse over time
Extremely proud new owner of my Cayenne GTS Coupe, which I can't praise enough. This is the replacement for my '18 M5 as a DD, which the GTS makes seem "adolescent". However, definitely having gremlins almost all along, w/ 900 on the clock. The dealership tech guy was equally stumped, this is the guy that runs through all the IT / tech in the car upon delivery)
1. There is a Porsche Connect issue between the app and the car. Every time I try to log in, it says car is in "private mode", so I must disable that to pair. However, it's not in private mode and when I pair, it reverts back to the errors!
2. Every time I start her, I get an SOS connection error within the instrument cluster and when I push the SOS, same error message on the large center tablet.
Here are some pics
So anyone experience this as of yet?? Porsche still can't resolve it.

Have you tried calling 1800PORSCHE? I've had much better luck with them than the dealer when it comes to Porsche PCM anything. The "tech" at my dealership actually broke a bunch of things.
FWIW, it took about a year for me to iron out all the PCM issues. Everything works great since then (at least a year ago). Good luck!

Thanks for the info and yes w/ 1800, but the fool I got on other end dropped the ball and never opened a ticket. Actually, My dealership down to to sales man, has been trying to really help and troubleshoot w/ me. The head guru at the dealership called 1800, explained all issues and I now have an open ticket w/ 1800. they are going to call me direct.

Yeah there are some good people around at Porsche, for sure. IMO watch out for the millennial "tech" guys that are "good" with computers. A lot of the back end network architecture is fairly advanced and each car **well unless you have a triple black base model on lease** is different.
I can also hit a lot of buttons and make things look pretty, but actually setting up a stable, robust network of distributed nodes running different OSs is a whole nother ball game.
I found a nice older lady at 1800PORSCHE that chuckled when I described what dealership tech guy had done in setting up my (admittedly brand new chassis) Cayenne in 2019. ymmv
I just got this error. I’m at 34k miles. Zero issues related to this so far. I saw one earlier post on it. Anyone else experience this? It’s a turbo with air suspension. I do tow wit it but until now, no issues.

for anyone having this same issue, I had the center console replaced again under warranty, so far so good.
I bought a 2019 Cayenne Turbo second hand. Mostly fine with the car, but I have regular (3-4 per week) warnings and breaking interventions from the car without any reason (meaning, there's no people or cars that could be a risk for a collision) happening mostly at lower speeds. Dealer claims this is "by design". Anyone else having such issues?
Mel
Yes. Started a few weeks ago. Collision warning comes on and car brakes when no danger in sight.
No does it once in a while. I never use the ACC. The white brakes squeak also drives me nuts.
Actually considering trading in for a loaded Mercedes Gle53 as coming off warranty in March.
Check your settings for your Porsche Active Safe (PAS). The Warn and Brake Assist (emergency braking) is part of the PAS. It has a sensitivity level setting in the PCM. Go to SET | Assistance System Settings | Porsche Active Safe | Collision Warning. Select your desired setting.
If this doesn’t fix it, you might need to recalibrate the PAS sensors. If they are miscalibrated, they will generate false alerts and braking action.
Your PSCB brakes are eligible for a free upgrade to new rotors and pads. Just show this TSB (link below) to your dealer. @ctguy had this done and is pleased with his new squeal-free brakes.
All you have to do is complain and the dealer will install new rotors and pads that have “Improved acoustic properties”.
Symptom: Squeaking noises can be heard from the front axle area at low speed or slight brake actuation or shortly before the vehicle comes to a standstill.
Action Required: In the event of a complaint, replace the PSCB brake discs and brake pads.
Information: A new component status with improved acoustic properties is available for the PSCB brake discs.
Vehicles produced on or after May 3, 2022 have the new brakes installed at the factory.
2019 Cayenne S - Display blacks out in cold weather
I've owned three Cayennes and love them all. My "daily driver" is a 2011 Base 6-speed manual, but my "trip car" is a 2019 Cayenne S. It's a great car but on my first trip north from Virginia (where it's garaged 24/7) to Pennsylvania just before Christmas it was parked outside for 6 nights with temperatures falling on the first day from about 40 degrees F to 5 by the next morning. The Cayenne started up normally, but I was shocked to find that the lowest portion of the center display, where the digital speed and "R - N - D" should be displayed, was completely black. I could not tell what gear I was in. After approx. a 10-minute drive the letters and numerals began to appear, first as a "cold" blue color before eventfully returning to their normal white and red. Although temperatures rose to the mid 20's and 30''s over the next several days the same completely empty display was repeated.
Since returning to Virginia and a warm garage the problem has not recurred. I brought this to the attention of my Porsche Service Advisor and together we checked with a senior tech. He claimed he had never heard of this happening, which certainly could be true in Virginia. They will run diagnostics the next time the car is in for service. QUERY: Have any other late model Porsche owners experienced this problem with this particular set of LED displays?
Thank you.

Thanks Dr. G. I don't know if that's good news for me or not, though it's obviously "good" for you. I had hoped to duplicate and video the failure on the next really cold day here in Virginia, or on a trip back to Pennsylvania. Based on your experience it seems my itinerant screen failure may not be temp-related afterall.

Has not happened on my '20 S driven in the midwest and through the below-zero cold snap before Christmas last month. Next time/if it happens, take a photo and send it to your dealer SA, then schedule a service appointment for warranty work.
