Hybrid water crossing depth is pretty low

Hybrid water crossing depth is pretty low

According to the brochure, the water crossing depth for ICE is 19.6 inches but Hybrid is only 9.8 inches. Is this true? What's the reason behind it?

Just guessing, but probably the battery pack that is located near the bottom of the car.
