Just ordered a Turbo. . several options still not available - no 22" wheels, no sports exhaust, no illuminated door sills - so pushed back to a December build. Would love to see others builds!

my dealer in NJ. My Cayenne is in enroute to Rhode Island port, arriving 9/7.

He told me the Cayenne has passed the EPA testing but waiting for CARB approval. Anyone else hear this ? How long does CARB usually take?

Does anyone have info on availability dates for self-parking and innodrive? I don't care about self-parking, but other elements of this package are interesting - e.g., wheel curbing protection and trailer hitching assistant.

Your build looks great. I wanted the 22” wheels, but my wife nixed the idea — she wanted performance all-season tires, not summer rubber. Doing the winter wheel / tire swap dance is silly here in Texas, so that was that. Our other car has and will stay summer-tired, so she had a valid point about having one vehicle that isn’t totally useless when a little slushy snow gets on the road. But man, those 22” wheels are all sharp!

Re: advanced self-parking, I’ve seen that video. Really cool stuff until I remembered how stupid technology often is outside of a lab environment. Then I ran across a review of the 2019 Audi A8 on Car and Driver’s website. Their test car had similar (same? I mean, it’s the same corporate umbrella) technology. They had to manually stop it from tearing off a side mirror against a concrete abutment. Then it somehow wedged itself into the parking space, and refused to remove itself. Neat!

Considering the cost of body parts, wheels and tires on a Porsche, I think I’d park it myself — even if the technology was available here. Plus, I can only imagine the snickering as my six-figure SUV scraped down the side of some poor sucker’s car while I stood there manually tapping my iPhone, screaming for it to stop.

yeah, self-parking is not that useful. I want the wheel curb warning - very useful for garages where these low curbs appear out of nowhere and cannot be seen at all because they are too close to the side of the car. over 5 years with the car, 2 out of 3 sets of wheels I have for it are curbed to the point that they cannot be repaired to like-new condition. Also, backing up a trailer is not something I'm good at, given I have to do it just few times a year, so not frequently enough to build a skill.
