same useless feedback from SA.....Porsche's tracking system is subpar at best.... 52% owned by VW so not sure if that is slowly impacting service quality or lack of investing in effective tracking systems like BMW/ others.....

told vehicle still sitting at Port Emden for 1 month plus..??? the tracking sheet info was BS .....dates have come and gone...SA is indifferent ...told me "guaranteed" date but since then moved off to note nothing new in system and no definitive ETA timing

i will wait ...

I was told by my SA that Porsche will not ship less than 500 cayennes on a ship from the Port of Emden. So If your vehicle arrives at the Port just as the ship is leaving, you have to wait until there are 500 vehicles lines up to load, before your ship will sail. Usually about a month.

That's surprising. Not that they want a full boat, but that they have to be Cayennes. You'd think any model would do. Heck, even non-Porsches could tag along if it were up to me.

Perhaps I misunderstood and it is all porsches. But he did say this was a big reason for vehicles sittin in The Port of Emden for so long.

Not a word in a week despite the fact that I was supposed to pick up the car tomorrow. Any time I do ask it's as if I'm the burden. Nevermind the fact that I have 3rd party financing and a job I'm trying to coordinate with a delivery. My last 2 cars were BMW 550 and MB CLS 550. The customer service with Porsche is the absolute worst.

That's disappointing to read. Our dealership (particularly our two SAs and our sales manager) has been helpful and accommodating from the start. Staff always respond to calls or texts with immediacy and great courtesy, making us feel like their only customer. In reality, our dealership is a high-volume joint, and we are tiny little fish compared with many of their customers. There are ALWAYS ultra-exotics parked in their cramped customer parking lot. Last weekend, we picked up our Turbo from service, feeling pretty special. Then we looked over and saw two customer McLarens and a Ferrari on the way out. So much for special.

Understand, this was our first Porsche purchase -- we had no affiliation with this dealer. We ended up with an 18-month relationship to get our Turbo delivered in December. And even now, they're still responsive and over-the-top helpful. One of the techs scratched the rear window when removing the active aero rear wing to replace a seal. I noticed it when I got home, called them, and they took full responsibility. They've got the rear window on order now.

I think you have a dealer problem, not a Porsche problem. That doesn't help you at all. I wish you the best of luck.

I agree. We have two PCar dealers here in town.
One sells every type of high end brand, which can result in an uneven approach to service and detail.
The other is a Porsche / VW / Audi focused dealership, which is where I ordered my Cayenne S from.
They take their Porsches seriously and treat their customers the same way.
Trial and error sometimes of course, but there are good dealers out there.

its probably best to not believe much if anything a SA says unless they show you in writing from a bulletin. Common sense should prevail.

There seems to be a delay altogether at the Cayenne production line. My SA is yet to confirm a build date for me, and he's been trying to get one for the past 9-10 days. Hopefully, we get further info. My order is for a '20 CTT

It appears that the 2020 Cayenne has already passed EPA if your car has been delivered. Are either of you (mblakesr & misterfring) in a CARB state? Anyone from a CARB state receive delivery of a 2020 (of any Cayenne model)?

Ordered my 2020 Base Cayenne on 9/24, Build Date 10/18, Finish 10/25, Ship Load 11/29. The dates were projected to be weeks later, but when it was entered as a "Sold" vehicle the dates bumped up.
