Certified v. 3rd party warranty

It is super critical to get an exclusionary policy that lists what is not covered - everything else is covered. There are way too many loopholes in an inclusionary policy. You want to see the short list of what is excluded.

FYI, I just called Fidelity to get a feel for it. We assumed a 2013 Porsche Cayenne Turbo with 50,000 miles. Top of the line warranty, good until 110,000 miles, was around $8000. That makes a certified Cayenne admittedly likely more appealing unless I got a great deal on the Porsche. Another issue is that there are two Porsche dealers in my area. One, relatively close, does not seem to have a good reputation (though I would think Porsche would regulate them fairly tightly), and the other is a bit of a hike (maybe 30 minutes). So if I found a good private repair place near me and got a good deal, a company like Fidelity might be the way to go.

Diver - since we dunno where you're located.. can't suggest it, but I did post what appears to be an attractively priced CPO 2012 turbo not long ago. At a dealer.. it has a few very desirable options to people who value handling.

I have a bumper to bumper warranty from auto advantage on my CTT. Have not had a claim on this one yet but did when I had my Audi, no issues with the claim there. I can PM you more info if you like.

May I suggest looking at CarMax inventory? There has been good reports of people using the CarMax extended warranty. Didn't Doug Demuro extensively used the CarMax warranty to keep his Range Rover running?

I also got a Fidelity quote on a 2013 Cayenne base model with 59K on it and the cost was between 7-8K. This actually made a CPO a better deal. Local Dealerships don't have what I'm looking for so that is a bummer.

I live just north of Baltimore and bought a CPO 2012 CTT last year from Porsche of North Houston.
Easy transaction that included shipping.
Just search the Porsche.com website and something will pop up. It took me close to a year to find what I was looking for.
From personal experience, I would not buy a P!G without the CPO. While I have another year to go on the CPO, I may start searching for coverage when the CPO ends.
Good luck.
