Default Interesting post in the 955/957 forum - in a thread about engine replacement

I believe I said not long ago that I hadn't heard of any 958 engines with the bore failure that plagues the 955/957 V8 engines. Enough people have enough miles on the early 958 V8's that if it was going to happen, I think we would have heard about at least 1 or 2 cases.

I was doing my moderator duties - checking over threads in the other part of the Cayenne forum - when in a thread on an engine replacement (due to bore failure) - was this posting: https://rennlist.com/forums/cayenne-...l#post15087554

It's from one of the leading rebuilders of the V8 engines with bore failures..

Well, that is good news. I'd like to keep my CTT for a while longer! (103k miles)

That's great info, Don. Thanks for highlighting it over here. And that's more encouraging (and more believable perhaps) than the 2nd hand info from Poland mentioned in that other thread...
