Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum and I'm actually looking into buying a used Cayenne (13'-14') S or GTS.


Are there any known issues with the models that year? Anything I should be concerned about? Budget is about 60k so I'm thinking maybe 30-40k miles?

Hi Peek..

A bit of time browsing this, and RennTech.org and 6speedonline.com in the Cayenne forums should provide you all the information you need. There are known issues. They've been diagnosed, written about at great length, some solved, some in process, some never will be. It's all out there - it just takes a bit of time on your part to find the answers you need. And a '13 or '14 will really be basically different cars since the '14 was the facelift model and I believe when Porsche went from the V8 to the turbo-V6 on these models.

Do a search as suggested for "958 reliability" or "958 reliable"....should have a good amount of threads on the topic. Transfer cases are failing at an increasing rate on that model, but beyond that I haven't gleaned a ton of other systemic problems--also a camshaft part I believe that was problematic in early years but I don't think is an issue after late 2011.

15 was the facelift a new motor; 13 and 14 cars are almost identically equipped.
