Cayenne Discount
Hello,
I am looking to lease a Cayenne and have never purchased a Porsche before. I was wondering what type of discount I could get on a 2017 Cayenne. How about on a 2016? I live in the Miami area so I have several dealerships near me. One dealership is offering 10% off on all 2016 models on their website but I am sure I can get more.
Thank you

There is a brand new model coming out mid year as a 2018--I'd wait a few months when they will be desperate to shift any of the "old models" that are still brand new if you can.

If you're prepared to go with whatever the local dealers have spec'd for options then you might find 10-15%. Bear in mind, they don't build these in the same quantities as a other more heavily discounted brands. Thus there's not as much inventory sitting around needing to move.
As for waiting, there's rumors that mid-2018 will see the next iteration of the Cayenne. There will probably be very little discounting on the new model if/when it hits US shores (likely no sooner than Oct-Dec 18) Personally, I tend to avoid the initial model year of any new style. I prefer to let someone else going through the shakedown phase...

These aren't mass produced, at least not on the scale of Honda, GM and the like. There's not likely to be 'enough' left in the pipeline for 'bigtime' deals. I'm not saying a few deals won't be found, as anything's possible given the limited number of dealers and market fluctuations. But given the way the '17 Panamera is trickling into the States I wouldn't expect a sudden in-rush of a lot of new Cayenne inventory. Especially since Cayenne sales have actually declined in numbers 2015-2016. Macan sales are up, but that's a whole other conversation.
If you're bent on getting the newest and you're prepared to wait until very likely Fall of 2018 then, sure, the next rev of the Cayenne is certainly going to be something to consider. I waited for the '17 just to get the new PCM. I certainly could have saved some coin going with existing inventory.
Meanwhile, the guy's looking to lease and shop from available inventory in south Florida. That's perhaps a whole other conversation; lease vs buy.

If needing a Cayenne right now it might not be too hard to find a workable configuration with 327 new 2017s at the four dealerships from Miami to Palm Beach. There are also 37 new 2016s available. Ten percent sounds okay but it doesn't hurt to ask for more especially if they know you have other Cayennes at the other dealerships that would work for you too.
