2014 Diesel Platinum. Which now makes sense why they want to know the vin. Lowest I have found the OEM is $1213. Like you I tend to lean toward the OEM parts. I just ordered the V6 Wotefusi for $288. The pics here look great, but no long term reviews about how they are holding up.

There are two problems with those chineese tips.
1. Contrary to what sellers claim, most of those tips are not made of stainless steel, but rather - plain carbon steel. That means, they will be less durable and will rust eventually. You can check that yourself easily, simply by trying to stick magnet to it - the stainless still is not magnetic, so the magnet will not stick. The OE porsche tips and piping are made from the more expensive stainless steel.
2. The fitment issue. The OE Porsche piping is angled downwards, so that OE tips sit flat / parallel to the ground. The piping on those chineese knock offs is flat (way easier to manufacture), which makes the exhaust tips facing up. This is because the muller outlets sit lower than the tips itself. Porsche angled their piping to compensate for the height difference - the chineese manufacturers did not.
Here is the pic showing the problem from my install. Those are pre facelift (2010-2014 model) exhaust tips, mounted on pre facelift car, with facelifted (2015-2018) rear bumper. The piping on the chineese tips was too short after the bumper change (the facelifted models have the exhaust tips spaced further apart) so we had to make them 2-3" longer. Instead of welding in a straight pipe, we have used two elbows, to raise the rear end of the piping by 1.5":
They sit better now, but still not prfectly flat. If you look closely, you will notce that thay are still tilted up. That is AFTER we had modified the piping.
I'm a bit surprised noone mentioned those problems in this thread before.

Thanks for the heads up on the quality of their "stainless steel and I did notice in the pics that the tips seem to be angled up. I just cancelled my order and will go with the OEM tips. And since you were doing a FL, maybe that's why the tips didn't fit, maybe a change in the location/length of the .1 vs .2 muffler.

There have also been craftmanship problems with my set of tips. Here are images that I've sent to the seller:
Here is an easy way to check if your pair is real stainless steel or not. Just use a refrigirator magnet and see if it sticks. If it does = regular carbon steel.
Obviously, you get what you pay for.

Absolutely. Sure, OEM is pricey, but these are pricey vehicles to begin with. Goes with the territory. No regrets with mine....bolt them on and enjoy them! No issues.
If you decide to go OEM, I don't think you'll regret it at all. In fact you'll probably be very happy you did in the end.

Beautiful!! They really add to the look! And just found the OEM a little lower at Paramount Automotive, so might be cancelling the Sonnen order since they will take 3 days to get them before shipping. Once I get installed I will post a pic. And are you a member with PCA Potomac?

Just looked at their website, the Richmond Porsche Meet looks like fun.Going to miss it this weekend but will add it to the calendar for next year.
And I requested to cancel the Sonnen sports tips order because Paramount was lower, but Sonnen reduced their price even lower than Pramount!! You says you cant haggle nowadays!!! Once I get them installed sometime late next week I will post a pic.

Final price is $1150 for part, $40 for FedEx. Originally was $1212 and $81 for UPS. Paramount is $1203 and $39 for FedEx. I've been ordering parts from Suncoast but now may switch to Paramount, since they are in NC the shipping is lower. Sonnen, Paramount and Sunset seem to have better prices and their sites are exactly the same layout. They show an exploded view of the components and you can click on the parts.

Does anyone know of a seller for the quad tips on a 958.2 that has THIN rolled satin tips, like the OEM cayenne S tips? All of the ones that I've seen above on this thread, ebay, and amazon have a thick rolled chrome or sating edge. The active exhaust on the cayenne platinum editions have the thick rolled chrome lip, but I would rather get something that looks identical to OEM CS version.
