Tell me what to buy
Time frame: now till end of summer.
The spread is large but I am not a lottery winner. In fact, I don't love new cars. That said, the ability to customize makes me think… Love Burmester and PDCC but these are non existent in used market. WTF?
The new turbo is the obvious choice yet it's obnoxious from a cost perspective. Is it really worth it?
Cayenne Turbo $140k

Cayenne GTS $120k

Covers most bases…
Used 2015 CT $123k

No PDCC but decent deal, or is it?
Used 2015 CT $98k

What would you do?
This will be a counterpart to an older Cayenne until it's replaced with a '15+ Carrera TTS.

The 2015 for $98k has barely any miles and has the burmester. If you are getting a 911 TTS maybe that will scratch your itch for handling. Its not like it wont handle great without PDCC and be a great roadtrip car. Can you not think of many things to do with 40 grand?
(Although that other used one has an interior color scheme that I prefer.) Still is it worth an extra 25k? At that point you might as well go all the way and buy new. So I say either go for the cheapest option or most expensive.
How itchy do you get? Will you be satisfied with these cars in 5 years still? Because spending this kind of money means you want to be happy with the purchase long term. Don't set yourself up for buyers remorse. So either save money and not be butt hurt you lost even more in depreciation when you get itchy to get something new... or configure a car that will make you happy for many years and enjoy the hell out of it. The value of all four will sink like a rock but that $98k one has less distance to fall.

I recently test drove a used GTS with loaded with Burmester and pretty much every other option ($120k window in 2013).
Before the drive, the salesman got in the driver's seat and told me about some of the features and controls, and then proceeded to show me the impressive performance of the Burmester and explained that the stereo system was more capable than human ears. He then went on to explain that if he were the original buyer he'd have saved his money on that option since the GTS makes it's own music.
Not sure if that was an off the cuff comment or something he's said 100x but but I found it pretty compelling.

Where do people come up with this stuff?
Once had a VW salesman think he was pretty hot drifting a Passat around a clover leaf. He proudly looked at my 86 yo Mom in the back seat (the car was for her) and asked what she thought about that. She just blankly looked at him and said, "My son does that much smoother in his Porsche." The look of shock on his face was hilarious.
