I have the same question. I guess it would have to be someone that knows how to reprogram the logic of the system or perhaps manually interfere with the signals to the transfer case. I personally think Porsche did it backwards too...
I see why they did it for idiots, but but there are times when I want to lock things up, but don't want to switch into low range.

Read page 178 of your users manual and you'll see the answer is "no" and in general there is no front differential lock on any Cayenne - that upper round light represents the center diff lock active in the off-road driving program.

I'm not Steve, but you can just run the VIN on vinanalytics.com and see if it has PTV+ as an option. If it does, it has the rear locking differential. If it's a TurboS, it comes with it standard.
