My fuel door won’t open.

Any suggestions? I was able to manually open it by opening the access panel in the right rear and pulling on the red plastic pull. Is it a fuse? Something else? It’s a 2012 CTT.
Thanks for any direction on this.

Fuel door lock actuator is probably bad. Had a 2015 Audi Q7 and exact same thing happened.

I didn't know Cayennes had a fuel door actuator. I have a 2015 CD and all I do is push on the door and it opens.

From what I understand the fuel door actuator is what releases the door for the "push on the door" that you mention. So when you lock the Cayenne it includes making the fuel door un-openable. When you unlock the vehicle, a cam rotates 90 degrees making the push on the door work.
In my case, I pushed on the fuel filler door, and the door would unlock, but you couldn't get it open any further than barely pushing your pinkie finger in. Certainly not enough to do the job of filling the tank. I even opened the access panel in the right rear, but whatever plastic pull there was or should be wasn't obvious.

This happened to me a couple of times as well on 958.1 diesel recently. Just "punch it" gently and it's popped open, but may need to order the actuator Raudi Driver noted.
