A/C Stops working
Hi Everyone,
2017 Cayenne, 92,000 miles and I'm original owner. The past couple of days, the A/C comes on fine when you start the car and after a few minutes it stops working. It comes on after a while, and then stops working again for a longer period of time. Changing temperature setting, fan speed or selecting Max A/C doesn't seem to do anything to remedy the situation.
Any thoughts on what it could be would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for all the help.

Stops working as in blower is running but, air is not cold or stops working as in blower shuts off and there is no airflow?
If it’s the first, it would be worth getting your Freon level checked. Mine needed a top up at a similar age/mileage.
If it’s the latter, search for blower failure and/or replacement

Thanks J.R.,
I'll do some research on replacing blower motor. One question I have is that the blower motor works, then stops, then starts again, multiple times during driving. Is that a sign that the blower motor is going, or could it be something else?
Thanks,
gkouris

You are losing the blower motor almost assuredly. Happened to me the same way. I am only moderately handy and I replaced the blower motor myself. Its straight forward but a pain in the butt because you have to be an amateur contortionist to get to a couple of the screws. Seems to be a pretty common failure on these vehicles and a bunch of people on this forum have done the replacement themselves. The procedure is on this forum and seems like the poster in this thread CAVU posted it up one time.
