Default Porsche DTLA Service Dept claims the Porsche Service Protection Plan does not exist?

I have a slipping transfer case on my new to me 958.2 and I purchased it with the Porsche Platinum VSP warranty 4 years 48k miles. I called the service department at Downtown Los Angeles and the guy there claimed that Porsche didn't have any such warranty program and that whatever I had must be a dealer-exclusive warranty. But it is not, it was purchased through Porsche Financial Services and I have the contract.

Is it normal for Service people that answer the phone at these centers to be completely unaware of these things? I called up DTLA because it was the closest, but I will not service it with Long Beach where I purchased the car...
