Ive found the official Porsche troubleshooting guide for the 800D:
https://charm.li/Porsche/2005/Cayenn...20Code%20800D/
It is basically what Ive mentioned before.
the website is actually quite helpful it has a lot more models and years.

I`m not sure if a full reset has been done. I sent the PCM main unit to a repair company last week. They checked it, but nothing seems to be faulty, The guy suggested to check the gateway control unit as next step.

Thanks for the feedback.
I´ve bought today a new TV-Tuner just in case and I´ve just bought the Steuergerät fürs Gateway to try also just in case is my issue as well.
I will receive the car back this week and should receive the parts starting next week. I´ll keep you posted.
BTW I also found out another person who is having similar issues to ourselves over at PFF: https://www.pff.de/thread/2822634-au...atterieschutz/ He is sadly not answering, so I don't know if he managed to fix it.

Btw just in case the Steurgerät fürs gateway befindet sich:
Driver's side, unscrew the lower panel in the footwell. Remove the fuse cover, right at the back there is a Torx that attaches the control unit, then pull it out through the footwell, unplug it and you're done.

I just received the car back from Porsche workshop again. They updated (flashed) the pcm to version 2,47 (former version was very old V2.10). Also they did a full car flash and coding. But without success, same symptoms - but only one fault 800D (Video signal) is still listed for pcm. They checked the coax video line which seems to be ok.
After using my OBD reader (icarsoft cr max) I found a bench of faults for "Additional instrument" - which is working fine while driving:
8004
C058
C11000
C11001
C12016
C11005
C12000
C12018
C1201D
C1201F
C12028
C12096
C1209B
C1209D
C120A6
I`m not sure how to proceed.

I'm sorry to hear it didn't get resolved.
Which codes are Active/static or passive/sporadic?
Are you getting any error indication on the PCM regarding the 800D? Like in my case the PCM stating TV Device not available

From what Ive read, for the gateway module change to be effective you need to properly code it to your vehicle. I think for it you need PIWIS

I think I just found part of the problem. There is no power on the red-yellow supply cable of the TV-Tuner. Fuse No.6 is ok. When I bridge the red-yellow line to 12V+ the back up cam and the left monitor of rear seat entertainment is working. But still no sound and right monitor of rse is also not working.

Problem is solved. I cannot really explain how this could happen. Fuse No.24 in Fusebox right was just missing. This fuse is not listed in manual at all. Referring to manual, TV-Tuner and rear seat entertainment are linked to fuse No.6. I just added the information now. This 958 seems to be one of the first produced pre-series cars. Hifi sound is working, backup cam is working, left monitor of rear seat entertainment is working. Reffering to porsche should monitor on the right be juiced by fuse no.40. But there is no fuse and there are no pins...

Great to hear that is solved 😃 So the solution was just to put a 10amp fuse in slot 24? Im getting my car back today from the mechanic I will check to see whats my case, I hope is the same as yours and its fixed. My car is also a really early cayenne first registration 10-2010
the question is, why did it take until now to show up

...because the fuse is not listed in manual and nobody checked if the TV-tuner has been powered. But I cannot explain, how the fuse could "go lost". The system was working fine and then the problem suddenly showed up. I`m really confused.
