okay, back from the stealership, they say the one key is programmed to run the car but not fully? that is why the key not recognized alert keeps coming up.
I think i need to find a way to replace the two keys instead before car locks me out again
has anyone had luck in buying replacement keys and have any good ideas about having them programmed?
I live in the Chicago area

Goggle porsche key fob programming chicago. I saw a few hits.
This gent works out of atlanta, that is what you are looking for in your area.

Give him a call to see if he knows someone in your area. You could pull the BCM and ship it to him
Otherwise, have the dealer program new key(s).

had mobile locksmith come today and program 2 new keys.
used Autel scanner and found the following codes:
880909 - Left front door handle sensor circuit open
880A09 - Right Front door
880B09 - Left rear door proximity sensor short circuit to battery
Interestingly the only door that functions with the handle button to lock or unlock is the rear right door
from the above it's the only one that didn't have a related code
so guessing it's not the key fobs at all - $600 later two new keys (meh)
still getting the key not recognized warning on the dash
must be something with the soft buttons on the door handles that is being 'circuted' and the car is looking for a key outside the vehicle? Maybe ?
any suggestions on the next step in diagnosis?
or, anyone know of a good tech in the chicago area that would be able to fix this out, it's super annoying as we all know

I would be inclined to work with a dealer on this issue. Your local PCA chapter members can guide you towards a decent dealer.
You can google each of those fault numbers and its verbage. I found a number of interesting leads for porsche and VW.

More curious-er
Took the car out today with the old and one new key in car. “Multiple keys recognized in vehicle” but not a single KNR blip 30 miles round trip. Agent Mulder - I want to believe
