Hi garrett376,
I took pictures of where the clips were , assuming the rings don't move by themself, the images indicate the spring clips we off the metal pipes almost like
you said that someone removed the hoses and pushed them back on but didn't reposition the spring clips.
In both cases the clips would not be clamping onto the metal pipes.... I can't tell if the spring clips were moved or not as they don't leave an impression as the rubber hoses are kind of heavy duty what with the heat and the like.
One interesting forensics information that I missed is the marking on the ends of the hoses ... it is like an arrow and I wonder if that is a marker for where the spring clip should be. ?
I will ask Porsche if there is any event where those differential pressure hoses are removed ....
Hose aligned where it should be
Hose aligned where it should be

All, I used my right angle plyers to reposition the spring clips . They are not the exact ones for the clips which I may purchase , however the clips are re-useable.
( unlike the kind that you crimp up ... someone said the spring clips do better at maintaining clamping force with temperature variations.
Attached is a photo with the hoses and spring clips all back together where I believe they should be.
Q: Does anyone know what the markings are on the end of the hoses mean ?
Q: Do they indicate where the spring clips should be positioned ?
Spring clips and hoses back in place

I don't think they should have charged you for the dx when the car was under warranty. Mine was dx without any charges. I think they might have said there would be a charge if they didn't find a problem.

Great garrett376, that makes sense so the technician would install the hose up to the second indent and then place the clamp in the printed box and so the clamping doesn't have any randomness to it .
