Default Looking for a part?

Hey guys, I was wondering if someone could tell me what part this is in the uploaded pictures. I was installing a water pump and when I got done I seen this piece was broken. I would appreciate the help thanks.

Sure, looks like a couple of things. What year, model, engine and part of the bay are we look at here?

Can you zoom in a little bit closer or put the camera in macro mode?

I have a vw with a similar engine and it looks like a Variable Intake Manifold Vacuum.

It's the intake manifold adjusting unit. I think you can pick one up for $130.
