Default Advice on Falken Tires, please.

Two of my Michelin Premier LTX shoes seen better days. About 7/32. Rule is < 6/32 replacement due.

Babba has four Falken Tires. Apparently they "fell of the loading dock" and are a bargain. All four for the price of two Michelins

Two dilemmas. 1. Falken vs Michelin 2. Falken is 265 50 20 vs OEM Michelin 275 45 20

Experience with Falken? Advice please.

Thank you.

Which Falken tires?
In general, they make good tires - in the Cayenne world, the Wildpeak version are very popular AT tires.

Not enough information. Falken makes lots of different models of tire. Kinda like saying a "GM vehicle" - worthless without more specifics.

If someone asked me are Michelin tires are good, I would say yes. Across the board. Michelin tires range for my Cayenne from ~ $320 ~$650

Falken, I have no experience. Hence the question.

And in my opinion, you would be wrong. Well to be fair, most Michelin are at least Good, but not all are great and top-rated. Some Michelin tires are outstanding, but some - like the Latitudes - suck. The Agilis series were recalled earlier this year.

Same with Falken. Some are outstanding, some are meh. Their Wildpeak AT3W (and Trails) are top-rated all-terrain tires. Almost a cult-following. Their budget sports tires like Ziex are middle of the road.

Without knowing what model you are considering, it is hard to provide an opinion.

Better yet, go to Tire Rack and look at real-user reviews over many miles - their reviews always seem to be spot-on with my real-world experience. And I buy a crap-ton of tires.

Check date codes on and discounted tires. It's the biggest trick in the book. Grocery stores do it all the time. Stuff goes on sale when it's approaching the date code.
