Default Blacked out hood badge

I wanted to replace my hood badge with the blacked out version since all my lettering is black. I found this on AliExpress for $18.

I used the oem rubber washer and it fit tight

The oem rubber washer fits perfectly

There was a seller in the US on etsy that sold great quality logos that I have purchased wheel caps from but their account is gone.

I used the factory nuts because the one I purchased did not come with any and I didn’t feel like getting new ones from the dealer

They fit fine and made the grooves when twisting it on

I used a bug remover spray that works so great to clean off the dirt

Then a spray wax

My oem one has the same amount of gap, since the rubber fit perfectly it’s obviously the same size. It came with a double sided tape but I didn’t use that

I’m very happy with the look.

It matches the wheels and logos nicely

That's pretty cool. I like the black script on the fenders.... I saw someone with the "diesel" logo in black that caught my eye.

Ditto, I would love to see this one... I really like the look. Aliexpress is challenging to find things on....
Thanks

At a quick glance in certain light, it is just going to look like there's a hole in your hood.

I’m not usually a fan of the murdered look but that looks great! Nicely done.

Did mine yesterday and came out well. Easy to remove...I think the Porsche gasket/nuts are #8 metric and you'll need an extention to your rachet to get into the hood recess securely AND ensure you don't loose a nut inside the hood [that would drive me crazy rattling around]. Otherwise looks good so much I did my Carrera too later on! . Thanks for the instructions...helped a lot to guide me eventhough have done it before...a reminder is always nice to have.
