Default Cayenne Diesel S in the US?

Does anyone know if it’s possible to import a Cayenne Diesel S into the US?

Friend of mine brought a eurospec Touareg TDI (a V8 I think) into the US.

He had diplomatic plates so no work was required.

I don't know of any other way, unless it's more than 25 years old, IIRC...

Hibrid - much better option all around. 26-52km real range.

If you've driven the V8 diesel, you don't think much about economy...you think about highway entrance ramps and passing zones.

Well put. A French car magazine wrote that the Diesel S behaved like a Turbo and perhaps was the best overall Cayenne. Each to his own, but you can't argue with the fuel economy and reliability. Many for sale now have more than 100K miles yet still get a premium price.

I live in France and I need to tow a boat. I was leaning towards the Diesel S. However, my desire for the Burmester stereo and some other sweet options just led me to a 2015 CTTS. My facelift CTTS is the only 958 Cayenne that can match the Diesel S for torque.

I love my V8D I have the burmester and air suspension etc. and its pretty much a perfect barge, I have a light remap on it and I tested the 0-60mph at 4.7s on my DRAGY box which I thought was pretty impressive for a big old boat, I think the 30-70mph pulls are the most impressive with all that torque. It's crazy that it can also do over 700 miles on a tank as well when on a motorway run.

I found a Diesel S with PCCB and PTV for sale in Switzerland. Very rare configuration. Inside the burled walnut trim charmed me. But, no Burmester, so no deal.

You're a lucky man. I hope you also have the double paned window glass option to better enjoy the music.
