Agree with @BCeagle08 the V8 is priceless

Upgrade the head and tail lights to LED and enjoy that bad boy grow!

Texas heat and a V-8 long-term cook stuff for sure.
I loved my 955 turbo.
I have not been able to find 958.2 GTS or turbo nearby now looking at 991 or 21 GTS.
I have seen lots of 958.1 around nearby none worth it.
I’m in south Texas and it has been Dante’s Inferno 7th level of Hell type heat here this summer. I have 150k on my 2014 GTS and I have never cooked anything and I’ve never heard that before either. The V8 is the bomb - and I can’t stand the move to glass panels and haptic controls. Mine is a keeper and has been pretty stone cold reliable.

I have decided to stay with my 2013 GTS. I actually just did a bunch of services to it this week and it is running phenomenal right now. Zero issues. I do think some of LED headlights will be in my future. I have seen a few different sources have them. Who is running them, and how happy are you with yours?

Well I found a CPO 2026 Turbo, price is right. Options are right. Only thing missing is color matched wheel arches which I don’t understand why you would buy a turbo and not add all the goodies but this car is nice. Will go see it once CPO is done. Currently in a 17 Platinum, I’m sure the 958.2 Turbo is a worthy jump. Could be the one. Sorta wish it had carbon fiber but you can add it, no Sport Plus, can add, no CarPlay can add…no sport exhaust on-off likely can add and sadly no independent rear AC…CPO warranty is super nice though.

I love my 2016 GTS. While it's a matter of personal opinion, I think the facelifted models look subtiantially better and more up to date than the 958.1. I also think the new steering wheel and newer PCM are noteworthy upgrades, in addition to a host of other more subtle beneficial changes made as part of the refresh.
That said, I don't love my engine. Even with a tune, I'm sure the legacy V8 is a better choice there. On the flip side, you save over 200lbs with the V6 and get better fuel economy.

When I was shopping I was open to both. .1 for the V8 and sound, .2 for substantially better looks (its just my opinion of course).

Bought a 2016 because I loved the color combo and options on this one.

This is an extremely hard choice. Facelift vs. V8. Dilemma!!

My 2013 GTS has been plagued by headlight brightness issues for a while now, much to my wife's chagrin. Despite trying to address it with cleaning and LED bulb replacements, the problem persisted. So, when a friend of mine contacted manufacturers directly for recommendations, they suggested going for the upgraded matrix LED headlights with laser high beams. I ordered one straight from the factory, and it arrived last night. Planning to install it tomorrow, and I'll definitely keep you updated on how it performs.

im running them in my 2013 cayenne S and they are excellent. I replaced all of the halogen H7 bulbs with them which is the high beams and the cornering lights. It’s a huge performance upgrade and they perfectly match the xenon low beam’s color now.

also, I initially replaced the xenon low beam bulb with LED as well, but I found the visibility was worse so I put the stock xenon low beam bulbs back in. I was actually surprised by this because in my 991.1 911, I replaced the xenon low beam bulb with LED and it was a MASSIVE upgrade. My friend said maybe in the cayenne it’s worse because it’s an SUV so the low beams are pointed downward?!! I still don’t know if I believe this and I am tempted to try to install different LED bulbs in place of the xenon low beams again. I also installed LED’s in the license plate lights, and the powered liftgate lights (they were the same bulb and super cheap on Amazon, 10 bulbs for $7). They even look great in the rear license plate area.

I am working on finding some high-end LED upgrades for our car. I hope to produce some detailed install videos and before after comparisons.

let me know if you would be interested in the brand/links from amazon that i got my lights from. They have been in the 911 now for almost 1 year, and in my cayenne for 5 months.
