Looking at one right now myself to replace a platinum edition 2016, seller asking 49,9 but is 350 miles away at an AutoNation. Tempted to grab it, 50k mi vs my 81k mi. Would like power and more brakes. Prefer my ventilated seats to the alcantara. My car is pristine garage baby, not sure on gts condition but photos look pretty damn good. Just not sure worth the 50 vs even newer Cayenne even though I don’t love ‘em. I’m telling myself nicer faster more features paint correction since it’s black and get it protective filmed. Interest rates suck right now even for perfect credit.

D3RP let me know your pitch…..

I agree though, not a fan of all the haptic switchgear.
What year did the ZF come out for the Turbo S? I have a 958.1 (2014).
Thx.

ZF auto is in 2019+ 9Y0 models. The 958 generation has an Aisin 8sp. Durable (same as in land cruiser, lexus LX), but not the quickest shifting.

Does anyone know if the steering in the 16 GTS should feel vastly different than my 16 Platinum? Feels looser for sure on gts, like alignment was off or something…….both cars have 80 on the clock too. 21”wheels on mine and 20” on the GTS. I asked the Porsche dealership to reinspect all the control arms. I don’t think they want to do it, they drove the car said it feels normal? I’m just not sure perhaps that car is heavier than mine? Other than that it’s really nice really clean just needs some paint correction and leather interior minor love. The 17 I wanted sold this AM.

Wheel weight and tires can make a pretty big difference as it relates to steering "weight." Perhaps there's a decent difference in the wheel/tire combo weights between the two.

Unbelievable...I guess you need to request the dealer inspection report prior to buying. My CS came from an Audi dealer with many non-disclosed issues.

Very unusual blue black metallic GTS 2017 with 58,000 miles on it at Carmax. Just got finished driving it and it felt really nice. Unfortunately the interior was literally literally ****ing destroyed by food and milkshakes spilled in every crevice or ice cream, and God knows what I don’t understand how anyone could do that to a car. The rear had clearly been hit on the right side and repaired cheaply as the paint textures were not even close. When you looked you can see the bulge just behind the filler cap and the body panels did not lineup flush with the rear bumper unit any longer. Left tail pipe was 2 inches lower than the right. Both B pillar pillar trim panel inside no longer snapped in place and loose/taken off and ****ed with on both sides. New windshield installed recently who knows what manufacturer. Even the gasket on the hatchback reinstall was half assed. Unbelievably bad. Liquid wax dried in every single exterior crevice you could possibly have it where the body panels met, scratches with globbed on paint to cover them……….. I have only seen one car this dirty on the inside of it which belongs to a friend who is a lawyer does not give a single **** and has triplets who do nothing but consume fast food in the back of this Mercedes and destroy the car from the inside out, and the little kids are a total total **** show.

Such a beautiful color. Car was nicely optioned but was lacking carbon fiber trim, and rear separate AC as I have in my platinum edition. I’ve never seen anyone wail on a gts like this and if they are nice, they disappear the same day.

I think I have PTSD now.

Well…..back to the hunt!

That blue/black paint is likely Moonlight Blue Metallic. I have that and the car needs to be in bright sunlight to look blue.

Looking at a silver/red 2016 tomorrow. Other than PCM 4.0 are there any big differences between those two years? My thought was to remain @17 or 18 rather than go younger. Works with ladies though…..guy is a mechanic and did control arms and bushings, new windshield at Porsche, serviced the tcase. He added CarPlay. Color combo is exactly what I want but not sure on the year as PCM is a step back from mines. Hopefully it’s in good solid shape in/out and ofc I’d have a private PPI done prior to. Can’t trade my 17 this way but it will sell.

Most differences are in the infotainment hardware. Other than PCM 4.0, the 17+ models are also MOST150 BUS. So higher bitrates for a higher audio quality. Only downside to that could be if you wanted to upgrade audio components as MOST150 isn't nearly as widely supported as MOST25 is in the aftermarket world. But if you don't care about that then you'll likely only reap the benefits!

And Carplay.
I agree to this completely.
