Default Lost wheel lock Key - 958 GTS

Well, looks like I left the wheel lock key on wife's car and drove off from the drive way. Looked every where but cant find the darn thing

How bad is the way at the dealer for one of these? I have the spare on the car right now and would hate to get stuck with the spare as I wait days for a new lock key

Ideas?

Had this happen to me - had my indy cut off the lock lugs and replace with all new non-locking.

You can also buy on ebay for about $30. Fairly simple...first, count the number of spline on the bolt (was 19 on my S), then put in vehicle desc and item. (2012 Cayenne S wheel lock key). Scroll through selections shown, and make sure it is listed for your vehicle.

chart shown by garret is a good start.

If you have a good relationship with a local tire shop, they typically keep all kinds of keys on hand for this reason - owners lose the key. If the shop can't remove wheels, they can't sell tires... Worth a shot.

You local dealer will have locks in stock. You will need a CDL and proof of ownership. They are not that expensive, around $25 iirc.

I feel like I should buy a lottery ticket because I found the Lock key 1.8 miles from home on the same route drive every day to pick up my daughter from school.

The odds of finding this were.......

Lady Luck was surely shining on me in this case.. saved me so much headache

How long did it sit on the pavement, three days?

Wow.

Buy a lottery ticket for me too, please!
