Default Splined Locking Wheel Lug Bolt

Does anyone have any leads on a tool for this particular bolt? I'm pretty certain it's a 22 spline.
I ordered the largest diameter 22 spline socket that I could find, but it's still 1-2mm too small in diameter.
All the threads I found here seem to have smaller bolts that fall into the conventional sizing I'm finding on Amazon. I just can't seem to find anything larger.

I'm ready to hammer on a 12 point socket and cross my fingers, but these things look pretty rusty. I figured it would be less drama if I found the correct tool, and easier than trying to convince a dealer to do it for me.

Just to clear the obvious: you checked in the trunk for the tool already, correct?

Oh yeah. I've nearly torn this thing apart looking in any possible crevice that it could have rolled in to. Probably 30 minutes cumulative over the last few months rechecking, just in case I missed it previously.

I think you have 2 choices. Hammer a 11/16 12 point socket onto each one. Either buying 4 sockets or hammer each bolt out using a vise. Alternatively, go to Porsche and have them figuire out which key you need and buy it for around $60.

Choice 3, which I would do, is stop by the dealer and have them remove the security lug bolt, and replace it with standard ones on all 4 wheels. Based on how that one looks (they all start looking this way over time), you could probably use all new ones anyway.

Did you check in the hatches under the front of the front seats? And in the hatch on the tailgate itself? It's not meant to go there, but you never know.
If you have not, you should remove the spare from the trunk and all tools/jack, to ensure it didn't fall under something. Many times mechanics will just chuck it under the trunk lid so it finds a crevice to hide in.

You are the original owner right?
This socket should be with the other spare tire tools. Mine is. Looks innocuous.

If you don’t want a new one from an online dealer, you might consider calling one of the online salvage yards that specializes in (or at least features) Porsches to ask them.

I dunno if any of the other VAG models that ride on this chassis use the same style security lug bolt, but it’s worth investigating. A VW/Audi key is probably cheaper than the same key bought from Porsche, if it’s the same key (and I bet there’s a lot more Touaregs in salvage yards than Cayennes).

The first thing I do when I buy a new (to me) car is to order four new lug bolts, pull off those locking bolts and bury them with the key in the back yard. Of course, we live in an area where people leave their front doors open...

If someone wants my wheels, they're going to get my wheels. Just not worth dealing with that stupid lock.

Whoops, forgot about this thread. This one was a bit of an adventure, but I finally got them off.
The ABC68 socket seemed quite a bit too small. I couldn't even get it to start to bite.
So I tired the disposable socket approach and also failed miserably.

Luckily someone on a different forum suggested I grind a lead-in on the ABC socket and hammer the living **** out of it.
It worked!!!

To the trash they go.....

Sears (when they were a thing) had great one and done reinforced security lug sockets. They destroyed the security lugs, but I have yet to have a Porsche (where i live) that someone was hot to steal the wheels from. I have had to use the specialist sockets... On more than one car. To that end' anyone know where to find black lugs? :-P
