Default Compass Option

Has anyone ever Seen this option (picture 86). Anyone know if this can be retrofitted and what the part number is?

Here to make it easier for everyone. I saw this the other day on B.A.T. and I like it.

I've got the Compass option on my '11 S and it's listed as option code QR1 per VIN Analytics for $420. I would think you could retrofit but would require some coding to be done afterwards.

Yes, you can get this. There are threads on here about it. You must purchase the panel, the clock and a wire. Then cut into some wires in the back of the radio

So not a plug and play upgrade? Bummer, as I am not up for hacking up anything in the dash.

If you already have a clock in that spot, it is plug and play. I changed mine to the compass from the clock. No changes needed other than taking out the clock and replace with compass. I found the compass off eBay.

Same dash panel as well?

Yes, if you have the clock already like above picture. Just remove clock and plug in compass. At least it worked on my 2014 CTT and friend's 2013 GTS.

This is 100% correct.

The panel, clock and wire only needed if your current panel is flat.

Yes, it's same panel, just different Guage basically.

I’m a fan of the old clocks and like mine where it is on the dash. I don’t really see the need for the compass there as you can select a compass to show in your in-dash PCM display on the vehicle screen I think. I have mine up all the time. The CDs are becoming hot items on BAT aren’t they.

I like the compass most for its elevation indication.
