I know.

The Audi crowd (full disclosure: I'm a card carrying member) suggested an A8L TDi over the A6 TDi.

But then I would have to get *another* car to keep the A8 pristine!

Great looking car, and good call on the warranty. Drive it like you stole it!

I will also be commuting from Cape Cod to Boston four days a week this summer. Can’t wait to do it in my Cayenne GTS. It’s a pleasure driving that car.

While these cars are relatively easy to wrench on, find yourself a highly regarded local independent mechanic. I've done spark plugs, brakes, battery and some cosmetic items myself, but I find it well worth the annual $200 for an oil change and look-over by a trained professional.

That may be changing soon...I might be commuting two days a week from Cape Cod to Boston (150 miles RT, with an AirBnB overnight stay in between.)

So...I'm looking for a commuter car, probably an A6 TDi to keep the miles and abuse off the Cayenne. The fuel costs will be much lower and I won't be parking the Cayenne in an office parking lot.

Of course, I'll probably end up with a really nice A6 and will worry about *that* in the parking lot!
I just got out of an A6 to get into the Cayenne. They're really nice cars for sure! That said, they lack the "soul" I mentioned earlier that the Porsche has. Only Audi I can see myself getting into at this point is the RSQ8. I absolutely love that car.

I can't leave anything alone, so I've started getting quotes for the coilover installation. Looks like it's going to be in the neighborhood of $1300, not too terrible.
