2014 Diesel... P226D Code
Hey all.
Did a (rare, sadly) but if spirited running in the CD yesterday. Upon restart got a CEL. I don't have a code reader (I really need to get one, should I get the iCarSoft?) and took it to Auto Zone this morning. They pulled a P226D code which says "Particulate Filter Deteriorated / Missing Substrate Bank 1". I'm assuming that it's referring to the DPF and not one of the cats.
I'm at just over 118k miles and the car will be 10 years old this July, this is still within the limits of the dieselgate coverage, right? I definitely know this is a covered component. Texted my Service Advisor and he's off today will call him Monday but wanted to get the group's thoughts.
Thanks!

Double checked and yes the diesel warranty is 10 years / 120k miles from in service which is July this year. Looks like most people who have gotten this code have had DPF replaced. Will keep you posted.

Well....sorta.
I took it to the dealer who replaced the DPF. No more code. However a few months later, the code came back. Not sure why the code is there, but I cleared it....and it came back. Car has 126k miles and the DPF was replaced at 119k but I have a "permanent" code stored that comes back a few days after I clear it. This is with iCarsoft. I wonder if the Foxwell tool can clear a "permanent" code? It's annoying because I know the filter isn't deteriorated.

Drifting
Foxwell will erase that code. If it comes back in a few years just erase it again. And so on until you delete the Dieselgate nonsense
