They are heavy! Anyway, I ordered and received a set of 21" Sport Classic wheels in silver to replace the black replica 22" Sport Classic wheels I had and all my suspension troubles... ARE GONE car rides compliantly and excellently!! Very happy I didn't actually order any suspension components because nothing has actually been modified on it, it's all original and intact!

So a word of warning to others if you have steel springs and non-air suspension stay clear of 22" wheels!
I’ve got 22” Ferradas on my S with steel springs and mine doesn’t look anywhere near as low as that. It might be worth taking to an indie shop and asking what they can deduce. I’ve seen a lot of Cayennes on 22s and none looked that low with stock suspension. It’s possible it’s the angle of the photo, maybe tires, but the front end looks very low.

Lol, as pictured above, mine is on 22's and lowered and comes nowhere near rubbing.

The rolling diameter should always remain the same or at least close to it, it's just more wheel and less tire the larger you go.

Yup, Vegas is on 22s with lowering springs and still looks to have more wheel gap than OPs car. Something definitely needs to be looked at if the solution to the problem was downsizing to 21s I’m interested to know what the car looks like now that OP downsized.

Not too sure why mine is so low still has the same number of coils as other standard springs I have seen. It doesn't look like it has any other aftermarket suspension components either. Some Cayennes I have seen are this low with 21" wheels though. I'll post a pic of it when I get the chance. Here is the front spring/strut:

Looking back I do miss the black wheels but am very happy to have found the same style in genuine 21". I may have them painted in the future but at the moment happy the ride quality is fixed!

What’s the measurement from the wheel center to the lower edge of the plastic fender?

So where was it rubbing? it doesn't look very low from that angle. If it was rubbing on the inside, you likely had the wrong offsets on the wheels.

Also, what was your tire size on the 22's? The sidewalls look pretty tall, proper size for a 22x10 is 285/35r22.

Couldn't really see where they were rubbing tbh, tyre size was 285/35 R22 michelin pilot sport 4S. Wheels were ET55 genuine 21" i have now are ET50 and a lot lighter and made by BBS

Does not compute, haha. You said you damaged your tires, where was the damage? I've never seen an OEM 22" et55 in that wheel, must be in Oz option but in that first pic, yours looks lower than mine and the other white one posted here that are lowered on H&R's.

Damaged the inner sidewall right on the edge but only the front, no idea how.

Here is what it looks like now:

Its still low, it's a mystery! I might run the VIN again to see if there are any options added to it.

I have H&R springs (previous owner) on 295/35/21s. Ride is great. I probably could have gone up to 295/40 tires when I put the DSWs on last year.

Here are some of the options:
Shock absorption/suspension system
1BW
Comfort suspension/damping (steel springs)
Weight category for rear axle
0YA
Weight class 1, rear axle - 1039-1074 kg
Weight category for front axle
0JD
Weight class 4, front axle - 1252-1276 kg

All look standard, still not sure why its so low. Rear looks like a similar height to the pic above but the front looks lower on mine.
