Exclamation 2013 958 GTS: FAULT OIL PRESSURE MONITORING / OIL LEVEL MINIMUM REACHED

Filled up the gas tank last night and shortly after turning the car back on got this error: FAULT: OIL PRESSURE MONITORING

The oil pressure gauge was resting at 0, assumed it was the oil pressure sender/sensor acting up after reading about it online.
Oil level looked fine (2 green bars from what I recall).

Went driving for about 10 minutes, then got this error: OIL LEVEL MINIMUM REACHED.

Immediately shut the engine off, added a quart of oil (Liqui Moly 5w40), and towed the car home. Engine was running perfectly normal when the lights went off.

Any idea whats going on? The indys around me arent able to see the car for a few days and I need to use the vehicle but definitely wont until this is sorted out.

I have an Icarsoft scanner, any idea where to start?

No dipstick in times like this baffles me....

If the engine is cool, try turning it back on and see if it gets pressure? You can theoretically run an engine "dry" for a few seconds w/o damage. Then maybe check under the oil cap to see if there's any oil on the chain/cams? No oil pressure is kinda scary.

I'm placing bets on low oil level.

Update: Spoke to a few shops, apparently the low oil level (~1 quart) will trigger the "FAULT: OIL PRESSURE MONITORING"

The car is driving fine, but after about an hour of spirited driving, that oil pressure warning came on again. The oil is showing as full. Bad sensor?

Need a scanner put on it, check actual values from the sensor. When oil warms up it thins, possible lower pressure like all used cars. I ghink you need a good shop.

What are your codes?

Sounds like bs to me. Ive had low oil reached with no pressure warnings or messages. I agree its a likely a bad sensor, so start there

this guy is right, I drive lots and constantly need to put more oil in and I’ve never once had the low oil pressure warning. Also you oil level sensor is not as accurate as you think. Get a dipstick and it’s probably and bad oil pressure sensor , or your battery voltage getting low. Check the codes

You should stop driving and address the issue. It may be a bad sensor, but an oil pressure issue should be considered urgent until it's not.

Did you do anything or it just started working?

Every few days the warning will go off, seems like a sensor issue.

Being told sensor is good and this is a possible valve in the oil pump issue that's similarly seen on the Panamera with the 4.8. If not the valve, entire pump needs to be swapped.
