Second recommendation for AllData. They recently updated their DIY website. One of the things that was terrible about the last AllData 958 Cayenne version were the wiring diagrams which were poor low resolution scans. The new version has fixed that issue.

If you've every used a Bentley manual (think higher quality Chiltons), you'll appreciate AllData.

Can the durametric code a new transfer case? It is a similar price to the foxwell.

Fitting a new transfer case looked to be very easy and you can buy them for around 2k with lifetime warranty.

^ id like to know that also. Foxwell reviews on the nt530 seem very poor.

I ended up backing out of this deal.

Downshifts 3-2-1 felt really jerky for a Porsche while coming to a stop. I could feel each one as if the car was in an aggressive sport mode, even though it wasn't.

The upshifts 1-2-3 were also a little sluggish feeling. Didn't feel like a slip necessarily, but it was definitely not right either.

I thought this could possibly be a transfer-case related issue. I really loved the car, and the spec was perfect. The dealer even offered me $2,000 off their "no-haggle" price, and a more than fair trade offer.

In regards to replacing the transfer case; I'm sure Porsche would push it off another month to get it out of warranty, and I didn't want to invest in replacing it myself.

Definitely sounds like a transfer case, at this point they're pretty much consumables so if you're getting a good deal, I'd still go for it.

Whatever Cayenne you get, if you plan on keeping it for a long time there's a greater than zero chance you will have to replace the TC.

Porsche seem to be good at honouring the extended warranties.

It was about $33,500 OTD for a 2013 with 92k on it and 3 owners. So not a fantastic deal. Only other issues from my inspection were interior cosmetics (window switch) and it only had one key. They also replaced the Pirelli tires with some garbage ones, and the brakes had less than half life. I know it's a 10 year old car with nearly 100k on it, but it wasn't a good drop in car for me.

For sale by a Nissan dealer, and its already off their website. I believe they were going to send it to auction, or another dealer in the network. Unless it sold....

Awesome spec, loved the color and options the car had. No sport exhaust though. The sales team got a little too pushy for my liking, and the potential transfer case replacement would not have been good for me immediately. Especially since my other car is also broken, and I can only borrow the Macan one day a week.

Cars.com link is still up, if anyone is curious: https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/1...-549140ca8868/

Fair, that's too expensive for sure!

For future searching, the window switched and heater vents are as badly made as the transfer cases. Cheap replacement parts can be found on ebay / amazon.

For sure, I'm still super excited to get my hands on a 958 GTS. I'm probably just going to have to travel to get the spec I want!

Ahhhh, thank you for saving me some money. I thought it could at least reset and recalibrate the air suspension etc as that's a job on my list.

What is the best tool for the 958? I will be putting a new transfer case on soon.

I have icarsoft PORii, Durametric and PIWS II. Get a PIWIS II or III.

For ease, I use the icarsoft to reset the service reminders. Anything else, I use the PIWIS to do everything, (on my 958 and 996).

That PIWIS system is expensive!
