Default Highest Mileage 958 Cayenne

Who has the highest mileage 958 Cayenne on all of Rennlist! If you have a 958 Cayenne, post your miles, your sub-model (base, S, turbo), and any major issues you have dealt with or are dealing with.

I have been looking for a 958.1 base for several months but have not yet pulled the trigger. I drive roughly 110 miles/day and am planning on driving my next car deep into the 200k-300k range. Obviously it takes thorough and consistent maintenance to reach such high miles. This got me thinking... what is the highest mileage anyone has accrued on their Cayenne and what did it take to get it there?

I figure it would be interesting to see the distances these cars have reached and may be insightful for others down the road.

Post them up!

Thumbs up

I have a 2011 Cayenne Base (w/6sp man), that's at 232,176 miles and counting. Got it almost 5 years ago with 98,000+ miles and it's been a pleasurable adventure! Replaced the transfer case, now, will be changing the t/c fluid at regular intervals. She's showing some age, but she still runs great!

120k on a 2011 Turbo. Can't list what's been replaced, it would kill the internet.

If you will be driving 110 miles every day, my first thought is that you should get a diesel (but I haven’t run any numbers to support the notion).

My 2011 CTT just rolled over 101k. I’ve owned since 2016 and ~50K miles. Aside from normal maintenance, it’s had the variocam bolts, transfer case and rear differential all replaced under warranty. I paid to have the glued coolant fittings pinned. My driver’s rear door lock is intermittent and needs replaced but I haven’t gotten around to it.

Diesel all the way for that kind of commute + longevity. Plenty of TDI touaregs out there with with 200k. If nothing else, you would appreciate the 26 gallon tank, which gets you 700 miles between fillups, so you're not getting fuel 2x a week.

14 GTS with 125k, 100k put on by me - almost no problems at all other than some small non-critical items covered under warranty. Lots of tires though!

Default High Mileage

I have a 2013 Cayenne diesel which just turned 247,000 miles.
The car has been great with recent problems with the the exhaust system.
The exhaust has a resonator which has flex metal tubing before and after.
The flex pipe has developed an air leak causing a warning light.
I'm living with the light.
The only other problem is my trailer lights are no longer working.
Minor problems. I love the car.

I purchased an '11 CS three weeks ago with 170,105 on the dial. I've replaced the transfer case fluid, had a shop flush/replace brake fluid, and am doing the front/rear brakes at home tomorrow. New oil/filter next week, along with air filters.

Coolant is bright pink...is that the way it should look? Toying with doing trans fluid/filter myself, but might have an indy shop do it...looks like a job that things could easily go south on. Ideas??

Had Firestone shop do a wheel balance, but still bad vibe at 70-75, and 85. I'll take it back next week and ask them to have a different tech re-do it. Be interesting to see if that makes it better.

All in all, very nice car so far. I do wish Porsche had a national DB of all work done at any dealer. GM has that, and it is great to know what has been done.

LMAO!! You killed me with that comment.

You should write a "how to build a new CTT"

I found business cards of dealers in the porsche book that's in the car. Went to both and one was nice enough to print all details. Also, the work matched carfax info.

That is some serious miles!

This is also really good to hear. I am on the never ending search for a manual transmission as well Pretty much the reason I haven't found the perfect one yet haha Nonetheless, this makes me feel more confident with purchasing a higher millage vehicle!

How are your suspension components holding up? Are any bushings/mounts worn out?

This is why I am scared of a gts/turbo! LOL great comment!

One little bit of info that I left out, I am looking for the impossible-to-find manual transmission. Pretty much the only reason I have not jumped on a diesel as they seem like a great option.

I think you are the winner of the highest millage! Or at least so far...

That is really impressive you have been able to get it that far. Did you buy the car used or new? Any issues with the transfer case or oil leaks?

Thanks for sharing!
