I’ve been reading several of the posts but many seem to be dated. Is there a recommended vendor to buy a complete system from?

I think only Porsche sells this as a subscription for $$$. You can get a clone from China/Internationally but I don't think it'll have some of the online functions that are needed - online in that it connects to Porsche's secret lair in Germany to unlock things/coding, etc.

Thanks for your reply. I should have stated I was looking at the clone laptop versions I have seen online. My needs are far below that of a full original subscription unit.

Thanks for the reply. That is one of several I have noticed. Did you buy one from them? Hoping to get advice from someone who has had one delivered and working.

I have a PIWIS II clone that I got from China. Works perfectly, and got the through my tiptropnic to manual swap in my 911. Now error free

Have you considered the Launch x431 ?
It does pretty much everything PWIS does plus it covers every other make/model of car all in one, and you dont have to lug a laptop into your car....and its cheaper.
